Washed and dried my Ritter Minigrip

I washed a cell phone once. Came out looking great, but didn't work anymore. Unlike the phone I slammed in a car door. Talk about perfect timing; it slipped out of my pocket and hit the door sill just as the door closed. It didn't come out looking so good at all. Still sorta worked, though. Sorta. Had to hold the three pieces together just right.

Exact same thing happened to my iphone SE. The funny thing is, the phone just has a bend in it now from the door, and thats it.
The screen didnt break, no other damage, just a bend in it now.
Only thing it affects is i cant lay it flat on a table, haha.

Sounds like you guys need to practice the ever famous pocket dump, but instead of taking pictures, its an actual pocket dump, lol.
Its like a routine for me.
Get home, go to my room, take off ring, empty all pockets (phone, knife, change, wallet, keys, pen, etc), and it all goes on the dresser on my man vallet, lol.
I have missed receipts here and there before, that paper gets everywhere.

Yep, cold water, gentle cycle and into the dryer on delicate! By mistake of course. It was clipped in the pocket of a pair of jeans. Didn’t realize it until I heard it clanging around in the dryer. Went to see what the racket was and discovered my fully opened minigrip being tossed around with the clothes. No real damage, a screw missing from the pocket clip which I recovered in the lint filter and a slightly dulled blade. Light oiling, replaced and tightened screws and ten minutes with the Lansky sharpening system and fine diamond hone and she’s better than new. Dangerously sharp!
Just thought y’all could use a laugh at my expense.

I have put a couple knives and a phone through the washer , knives were no problem but the phone was junk after.
