Any word back from Heather on if they were able to stop the fake Umnumzaan issue?

...... this is the country that builds your iPhone5 for you. We currently couldn't do that stateside if we wanted to. .....
Incorrect, and absurd. Of course we can make an iPhone and we do make the best chipsets in the world. Can we do it at the price of the Chinese... well, I'm sure we could.. but sure we would not.. as that would entail us taking unrealistic salary cuts... anyway, not trying to be argumentative, it just doesn't serve this cause by exaggerating facts to make a point. Will some folks get dup'ed? I'm sure the same type that will get taken for a fake Rolex from the thief on the corner.
Again, this needs to be kept in perspective. Counterfeiting has ensued since the time anything was of value. You can't stop it without expending exhaustive resources... even then I'm not sure. Best advice IMO was already said... buy from authorized CRK dealers, report known counterfeiting sources to CRK, use common sense.
Wishing all a Joyous Christmas (and any Holiday of your faith),
Warm Regards,
Mick

Someone needs to find out which plant is making these and what other knives for other brands. This is no mom and pop place producing these. Are they also making knives for Spyderco or Boker or Gerber or whoever? If so stop buying those brands till they get that plant to either stop making those fakes. I think that would be the way to stop or slow them down. Go after those major brands that use that plant.

I bet it wouldn't take them too long to figure that out. As mentioned earlier, authorized dealers, CRK, and members of BladeForums are the best bet.

That would be an almost impossible feat as they are manufactured in china, and the (futile) effort would be an enormous undertaking that would need to be done at the government level... best bet is an educated consumer.

Their government (china) doesn't care. And buyers being informed isn't going to happen. If there were informed buyers then Gerber wouldn't sell a bazillion knives a year.

-find out which plant makes these
-find out what other major knife companies use this plant
-Refuse to buy their knives until they switch manufacturers, or stop making the knock offs.
-If you publicly called out someone and said (joe Smoe has knives made by these ass clown then maybe he would think twice in supporting those people
