Probably old news to some of you chaps, but only somewhat recent for me. Boker Plus have released a new line of swiss army style multi tools!

I'd normally avoid sak style knives as Victorinox are the best already, but this one looks promising. There are 4 models so far I believe, single bladed model and those working up to a plethora of bits.

Not overly pricey either, infact pretty cheap for what looks like a well made knife with good materials.

Anyone got any experience??

I'd love one with a saw and scissors (like my Vic' huntsman) but without those pliers.. Any info if they will do more models??

Cheers

They look pretty cool, though I'm not sure if I would want to carry a knife that thick with a pocket clip.

Lol yeah that mega layer model with the pocket clip would be horrible. But! that folding keyring loop is just genius.

Glass breaker is a nice touch too, but I'd also like to see a pocket knife with a tool like this old 'oily joints' British army knife, the flat head screw driver on the top of the body, good for paint tins, screws etc and always out.

Mines 60+ years old and over time that bit has formed a slight sharp edge, so ripping box tape means the balde doesn't get sticky and gross too.

Just a neat feature I've never seen since..

Model 2, and maybe even 3, might make a nice edc, depending on the final retail price.

I've never seen that knife but did look at this one: Gerber SAH

Good looking multitools, but I don't really know why I would buy one over SAK other than because. Victorinox already got superb warranty and proven designs.
Is it just me or do most of the tools look almost 1:1 to victorinox ones? You could almost suspect that these are made by victorinox themselves..

That is nice looking, but much too large and heavy for me. If the series does well hopefully they come out with some much slimmer models. Nice large scissors tho.

I say too large and heavy, I mean for a secondary carry, as I would still feel the need to carry a main blade.

Way too thick for that clip but a dangler would work.

Yup, looks like a Victorinox to me as well and when he flipped the saw blade I checked my Camper and the shape and tooth pattern look exact and the 7mm length is the same.

Heh, I'm fairly sure Victorinox isn't worried.

Agreed. I believe the die hard Vic collectors probably wouldn't touch this, or not in anyway to significantly hurt Vic.
I have a powerlock in the house, one on my pack, and a Multitasker 3 with my AR gear, and a few leatherman and
gerbers strategically placed for vehicle use and in emergency pack, etc. I can't see myself buying one of these just
to try out. I am sure boker fans (is that a thing?) will appreciate this though.

I feel in a few cases boker gives the average guy with limited income the ability to try out a lot of different designs,
so this is probably them broadening their customer base. I'd be curious where it was made and of the price... and weight!
Best of luck!

I'll be glad they made this if by some chance Victorinox answers with a clipped g10 cadet, farmer, etc. I certainly won't be buying the Boker though. Way too fat. Pliers look ridiculous. Plus... It's a Boker and I've only had bad experiences with their stuff.

The single blade model is £20 and the tooled up versions are up to £40 I think, chances are you guys will get it for a similar number of green.

I may go for the single bladed version and my main interest was the identifiable steel and pocket clip!
