Watch out SAK'.. Boker is coming for you!! Boker Plus Tech Tool

Boker is coming for you!!

Ha, ha
Yah to take lessons on how to make knives.

I like my Bokers but . . .
I have had many SAKs over the years and just recently have bought several Bokers

My view is Boker could learn a lot from Victorinox about consistency, finishing and photographing their products for an accurate representation of what they have to sell.

I don't think Vic has anything to worry about.

What's its nickname? CHAK?

I'll stick with such knives made in Switzerland vs those made in China.

I also have a Boker Plus Tech-Tool City 1 (single blade). Good knife with one major expection; the pocket clip is not spring steel and any attempt to loosen it causes it to snap off. Can't loosen it with the screws as the top screw is the tension screw for the pivot. I just took the stub of mine off after it snapped off and carry the knife as a pocket knife. I still prefer my Victorinox SAKs.

As far as Boker goes, it will take a lot to teach an old dog a new trick. I'm sticking with Vic.

My single blade model arrived this morning. Impressed so far, but it's being wrapped up for xmas day.

I shall report at a later date. Brandon, what was the issue with yours? Mine was centred well and pretty immaculate for a £20 knife!

I have had the same SAK for 30 years, love the tools, loath the blades. Only reason it's lasted like that is I gave up on trying to get it to keep a whittling edge about 22 years ago!

Having lost my gen 1 Spyderco UKPK (S30V) :( I was in need of an EDC for cutting stuff and bought the single blade Boker. I am very impressed. Haven't needed to adjust the clip, so no problem there so far. Like the blade shape a LOT more than that on the SAK, and the steel takes a good edge and seem to hold it. Finish on the steel and G10 is vastly better than I have seen on similarly priced Queen Cutlery. It opens easily, and stays that way reassuringly. Nice spring tension.

If the multi blade version had a can opener, I would be very temped to retire my SAK altogether.

For extra bling, there is a Carbon Fiber version coming out soon too.
