Bad Watch out - Zachary Zunin or John Henry?

He paid as goods. And yes, I am in Czech republic. The shipping took 2 weeks but he fileled the claim the second day. I did exchange maybe 15 emails with PP but I could not prove the package was DELIVERED - only shipped. They did not care he had incorrect address in his profile. No delivery, no payment. I can only hope the package will be returned.

F&F is meant for transfer of money not purchase of goods or services so for F&F PayPal doesn't provide a verified shipping address.

F&F should never be used unless you are giving or getting money as a gift. The 3.5% fee on G&S is cheap protection.

Paypal fees are 2.9% + $0.30. It's amazing how many people that use paypal, don't know this tid bit of information.
Funny thing too make 2.9% + $0.30 = 3.5% the value would be $50 I peek at the sales threads and know that most things being sold are far more than that so it is really padding those prices if people use 3.5%

Yeah, but seller should still pay the fees, not the buyer. It's just common courtesy to do so. If someone has something listed for sale + 4% paypal fees, I ask them to do the math for me.

Which we are off topic but this goes into why sellers need to just figure a set price they will accept that includes fees this talk clearly shows that the fees can be inconsistent and difficult for anyone to calculate.

Did I miss where you said how he payed? This is significant... goods and services or friends and family. You receive NO protection from friends and family payments.

What do you mean? If my friend gifts me some money via paypal f&f, I am not protected? So my friend or paypal can take back the gifted monay anytime they want?o_O

No, he means that if you buy something from a seller and pay with F&F instead of G&S you do not get the protections that G&S offers. F&F is meant for giving money to another party.

Of course I know the difference between f&f and g&s, and what each means to the BUYER. But that is irrelevant to what the OP who is the SELLER is suffering.

The OP was the seller here and Got screwed. Not sure how it matters as seller protection is not covering him, even though it was G&S.

Exactly this.
