I am posting this here and on the good bad and ugly forum since this particular person has targeted busse collectors.

Some of you will remember a few weeks ago I got a great deal on ebay…. Two busse knives for a buy it now price of 300 bucks any one on here would have jumped on it…
Well it was bogus.

The guy is full of shit.

What he doesn’t know is I have to be in Chicago on business in a few weeks and have every intention of stopping by for a ‘chat’

his email is FDvargas0351@aol.com

his website is http://defensive-arts.org/index.html

his address is 3211 W 62nd Pl, Chicago, IL

ebay id is fdvargas0351

How about some facts? If you tell us what happened we can form a conclusion from that, but if you only tell us your conclusion we still don't know what happened or whether we would think it's bogus too.

have a look on the busse forum, under sometimes a good deal thread.... there is more info there

When I saw that auction I had a feeling it was too good to be true. I would love to see his face when you knock on his door and tell him who you are.

Not really relevent what came out the first time - let us know how this goes, and at least give us a little more detail -

I find it odd that when I read his feedback there have been no recent negatives. If he has been treating people in this fashion those people should leave appropriate feedback to warn others.

Keith, Thanks for the benefit of the doubt. I try to take ebay serious and on the rare occassion I run late or there is a problem with an item I am hapy to offer additional items free or give refunds to make the customer happy.

This whole thing got really confussing because I was selling things for someone else. Yes you are right when you said the auction sounded too good to be true. My buddy is going through a financial crisis and need to get cash fast. Thats why he sold the knives so cheap. It killed him but hey we do what we need to.

I totally understand that people may have gotten nervous when they didn't hear back from me, its not like they dropped five bucks. I have been swamped and little errors on my part caused some gaps in the communication. But the items were shipped and inssured. I publicly appoligize for an inconvience this may have caused.

For sale posts not allowed in this forum - Bastid/Gus. (Should you wish to sell knives at Blade Forums you are more than welcome to do so with an appropriate paid membership.)

I posted this in the other thread hope it clears things up.

"The auction said clearly "will ship monday after payment recieved" I have recipts and proof that the item was in fact shipped that monday. The tracking number was given in error. It was another item I shipped the same day and simply confused it. NO ONE who bought the items seamed to read that the item would ship almost a week after payment.

YEs I was selling them for a friend. He emailed me pics of the knives (some complained they were not the right pics) and he shipped half of them. In most instances My hands never touched some of the knives I was selling.

But as far as I know everyone got all the things promised to them. Vallytin got his knives and removed his paypal complaint.

I just need to tell you all learn how to be patient, I have awsome ebay feedback, its not like you bought a knife from a guy with one transaction.

Also I just wanted to say that after reading this post the threats made are funny not scarry. some one told me that the cops were comming to talk with me. Honestly what would they say, and why would you think that would scare someone? There is plenty of recourse available through ebay, paypal, and the post office, not to mention old fashion courtesy (I would have refunded money of my own volition if need be.)

Also if you do come to Chicago and want to chat give me a call. I'll spring for the beer and you can let me know how you like your busse."

I was just going by what the orignal poster stated.

If he has indeed received his knives then he should post that here for everyone to see. He should also post it in the other thread.

like I said thanks Keith for looking at my feedback and giving me the benefit of the doubt. Valleytimworks got his knives, if he didn't he would not have withdrawn the paypal grievence. I will guess he is happy with them, they were two nice busse knives for 300. He got em at a steal.

I have seen many people on eBay with great feedback all of a sudden go bad. That in itself doesn't tell me that valleytinworks wasn't right in his original post here. I have seen it happen here many times as well. I also know of people on eBay that that have great feedback because people are afraid to leave them negatives, because they are afraid of retaliation. Also understand that I said I found it odd that if you had been doing the things you had been accused of that you hadn't been getting any negative feedback, and that if people had indeed had bad experiences with you that they should leave appropriate feedback. I will always believe that people should leave honest negative feedback when it is deserved and that they should not hestitate in doing this from fear of retaliation. That is a real pet peave of mine about eBay.

Another problem at ebay is sometimes people with a lot of good feedback get hacked. If you see somebody with a thousand feedbacks for selling beanie babies suddenly start selling high-end knives or watches, that's a danger sign....
