Watchman04 What is going on?

This seems to happen enough to make me wonder if Spark should require Basic memberships for people to post a WTT thread.

Good idea, and IMO they should need the same membership as those who sell.
Wouldn't stop it from ever happening again, but I feel it would help a great deal.

The reason for the paid membership suggestion is it gives a little trackability. Not perfect, but better than just creating an account and posting away.

A gree with the ship first part, I've asked for it a few times, and have walked away if the newbie refuses. OTOH, I make sure I give them a fedback once the deal is good.

Start a thread in Tech support. That is the only way to find out.

Seems like everday day someone else is getting scammed, sorry about your luck OP I've been there myself and it sucks, I agree Some level of membership should be allowed to even trade and If a thread is started I will gladly support it, I'm a member of another site where you haft to use your Internet service providers e-mail address to sign up, no yahoo accounts or anything like that, then once you are a member you haft to wait 30 days and pay a fee just to be able to enter the place where they buy /sell/trade knives , on that certain site. Seems like that kind of system would work well for BF as well.

U812, it was a standard, stonewashed with black G10. CPM 154 blade steel. Still no luck contacting him. Guess I'll have to chalk it up as a loss...

There has to be something that can be done !! It just doen't feel right to chalk it up as a loss.

Both of you should call law enforcement in Austin/Houston(or where ever you shipped to) and give them his name and address.

Tell them what happened, and ask them if you can file a report.

Tell them you have your shipping slips, what happened, and tell them about this thread. May not help, but trying is better than doing nothing.

I just completed a trade with $275 knives and I asked the new guy to send first. He checked me out and agreed. Trade went perfect and I instantly left great feedback. Never be afraid to ask for terms as an honest person.

No doubt. Treat trading the same as selling. It's not insurance but at least a little assurance.

Thanks! It added nicely to the ideas already there, instead of being buried here/ You already got two  for it over there! :D
