Watermarking the HI images

The plan is just to do the website. I don't think it's worth doing DOTD pics, but if they're sent to me early I can certainly do them up too.

I think it's a bit much to expect all the forumites to be able to do it. ;)

The website is the main concern.

Here's a low-tech idea.

How about a cloth or paper banner with "Himalayan Imports" on it. Yangdu then lays the DOTD khukuris out on the banner to photograph them. Anyone wishing to steal the images will have to go to the work of editing out the background.

Great idea Howard...low tech, easy to do, better than nothing and *way* better then giving Yangdu extra work. Rep points for you!

Kazeryu, it's not too many guys with less than a hundred posts who go to this amount of trouble and effort and show this kind of dedication to the HI cause! It's certainly more than I have done in the two years I have been here.

Many thanks for taking this task on, for all of us who care about these knives and this forum.

Class move!

I've never seen a website do this but when i tried to save the image on this page at Benchmade knives i got a javascript message. as you'll see.

I thought I'd share this when i saw this thread.

I'm new here. and I used to do computer graphics before i was disabled. i do some web design and photoshop but I know nothing of javascript.
hope this helps.

the images have been uploaded. go ahead and look through to see if there are any that need updating.

Looks great to me. Just a reminder...many of these images are on the HI Yahoo Shop site as well.

ah, indeed. I did not go through all of those. I knew I was forgetting something.

I'll have to do those up this week sometime.

Yes - the store needs to be updated...go ahead and do those too.

(no immediate rush....it will take me a while to upload those anyway....have to do them one at a time)
