been a few weeks and I'm getting the itch to buy a new knife. I would really like to try a wavable knife and I'm trying to decide between one of the emerson cqc models or one of the cold steel knives that demco designed that you can wave and have the triad locks. Would really like to keep the blade under 4 inches so it's a legal carry and keep it under 150$ if I can but that's pretty much the only requirements. So I'll leave it to the experts, what do you all think is best wavable (don't know if thats spelled right) knife to get?

Waved Spyderco Delicas and Enduras are very affordable and very good knives, at under $70 online.

Edited to say: Vanguard beat me to it!

Yes, the Endura wave is great.
And the wave feature works better on them than on the Emersons.:)

Emerson cqc7 was my first wave and I love it. Also it fits your price range but most of the other emerson designs could be had for about $20 more.

I thought about the spydies but honestly most of there knives are still pretty ugly to me and when they throw the wave in with the spidey hole there just rough to look at. Probably functional as hell but I think I'll need to ease myself into the spyderco's with something like the native that has a more normal (to me) blade shape.

Like what you did with the blade there, how is it as an edc? From the pictures it looks about as thick as a gerber gator, is that about right?

@ jimmyd1982: Not familiar with the Gerber Gator. My digital caliper reads .157" at it's thickest.

@ Cold Kill: Waved knives open on the draw by catching a hooklike protrusion (near thumbstud) on the pocket lip. See video...

its not a flipper, it is a wave opener. Go to emersonknives.com for more info.
Why exactly are you nit-picking everything? I did not say it was a flipper, I said it was ESSENTIALLY a hook shaped flipper. I did nothing to you to justify being this rude.

you still were indicating that you thought it was a flipper of whatever variety, so i tried to be concise, mostly for clarity's sake but im also typing from my phone. No rudeness intended.
