Wave knife

Even if he didn't understand what TheCarbideRat was saying doesn't mean that he should be such a dooshbag. I have never seen anyone on this forum acting like this calling people a "noob" and saying STFU cause he didn't understand. That's why he asked you incompetent ahole.

I think we've moved past it. Thanks. I'd like to know if the OP is getting the concept. Let's keep it on topic.

Ok sorry it just kind of hit a nerve when I saw how rude the guy was being I mean he was just asking a question. I hope that he is getting the concept also. Sorry for getting off topic.

Here's my choices:
Cold Steel AK-47 - 3.5" blade, super grippy G-10, cool aluminum pommel, AUS8 Steel (mid tier steel), tough Triad lock
Spyderco Endura Wave - Very light and thin, 3.8" blade (~3.4" cutting edge), VG-10 (superior to AUS8)
Cold Steel Rajah III - 3.5" blade, grivory handles (similar to FRN), Kukri blade shape, AUS8 and Triad lock

I've never owned an Emerson, but from all the reviews I've seen on them I feel like you get a lot more bang for the buck with these knives. For hard use, I would go with AK-47, for superior edge retention go with the Endura. And the Spartan is not legal to carry in a lot of states.

I thought about the spydies but honestly most of there knives are still pretty ugly to me and when they throw the wave in with the spidey hole there just rough to look at. Probably functional as hell but I think I'll need to ease myself into the spyderco's with something like the native that has a more normal (to me) blade shape.

I feel your pain in regards to the spidey look. I finally bought one though. Found an Endura 4 wave at a pawn shop for $40. Still looked new except the blade was a dull as a butter knife. No kidding. Now I love that thing. I EDC that more then my Benchmade pika, browning ice storm and a few other blades. Great feel on hand and light. Love VG-10 steel.

really like the looks of the spartan but it's 1/2 an inch to long for legal carry and these days I like to be able to pull my knife out without having to worry about that. Think it's down to the rajah 3 and the ak-47. I've got a couple knives with G-10 handles, how does grivory compare?

that's what I what I was afraid of, probably going to go with the AK, I think the blade shape would be better for my uses anyway, anyone know what the glass breaker on it is made out of? I've read a few reviews saying it feels like fiberglass.

yes i was harsh to cold kill but i thought he was being sarcastic. He is probably 15 and i thought i gave him a good idea to go to the emerson site which he apparently disregarded. I tried to help the pup but oh no cant google the emerson site can he? Too much work. It pisses me off to NO end how FN lazy the kids are now. A disrespectful kid needs a slap. Everyone is such a PC, law abiding gd fearing ahole now.

I have an AK-47 and I'm very satisfied with it. The Teflon comes off kind of easy but overall its a solid knife. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
