Of the Emersons I own, I have some CQC7's (three A's and two B's), and none are waved. I prefer them that way. I also own a Commander and Mini-Commander (obviously waved), but I never carry them. The wave feature really tears up pockets, and sometimes opens when I don't want it to, and sometimes doesn't when I do want it to. Operator error, I'm sure, but that's my experience.
I actually prefer my Spydercos, as I feel they are easier to open in a controlled manner. I also find them more comfortable/useful for my own EDC tasks, and using them so much and feeling so familiar with them, for me opening is almost subconscious.
