We Bid Farewell To SR-101 Steel . . .

Guess I'll put these here lol

Is that a huge chunk of petrified wood holding up those books? If so, that might be the most impressive item pictured in your photo. Awesome Red Cerakoted goodies also, Public Defender Ergo is so choice. I'd love to see a wharncliffe version with a similar handle design.

To be clear, the Last Hurrah is for the Yard, and there will be at least a couple more offering from the Swamp in SR-101?
That's the way I'm understanding it as well. He said a few more in the works so I guess they haven't even been offered yet. 🤷‍♂️

Well, I kinda have a different take on it. It was a great steel. And I bought up GOBS of it. So, while I ALWAYS enjoyed seeing a new rendition of SR-101, I have enough in about every shape and size to last me the rest of my measly life. I feel bad for those of you that just recently discovered Busse and SR-101. Sincerely.

Gonna miss the SR-101.
Is SR-77 gone too?

I was hoping for OMG-15 cerakote ganzaa

Thanks bro. Yep, that's one half of a massive set of petrified wood bookends I inherited from my dad. And thanks for the blades!

TENTEX TENTEX And do tell us how that DB-522 and WS-1021 work out for you! I have the 1021 and am waiting on the 522 to come in but would love to hear details on how they worked for you. Haven't even got to use any of my SR-101 yet :(

Packing up my SR101 for my 10 day bull moose hunt starting the end of this week in Newfoundland. Sheath was made by fellow member VJT VJT and blades were sharpened by Father & Son Traditional Sharpening Father & Son Traditional Sharpening

Just a wild guess.....but are you picking up a Chainsaw when you arrive at the Lodge? I did a few moose when I lived in Alaska, and a chainsaw with vegetable oil was the Tool of choice for quartering a Bull... ;)

We use reciprocating saws down here in TX. We will see what the guide likes to use. I will report back.

Recip saw makes sense for small game like whitetails or antelope, but those big bull moose are "Big Boned", and the Chainsaw makes it quick to quarter with a 10" saw done in less than 5 minutes. Gas power vs Battery power(no place in the wild to charge those). Good Luck with the Hunt!!!

🤷‍♂️

How much gas do you think it takes? You're just Quartering not cutting and stacking a Cord of Moose! BTW if you live far enough out you fly in a couple drums of fuel and Oils.
