  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

We have lost a legend. RIP Harold "Kit" Carson

I only knew of Mr. Carson only by the name and reputation he had built for himself in our hobby, but his loss is definitely a sad day for knife folks. My condolences to his friends and family. :(

Went to CRKT's web site to see a tribute to Kit. There should be one, right? He collaborated with them alot. They show him proudly in their list of designers. Have for years.
Their tribute? Nothing but business as usual.

I'm disgusted with them.

I just checked CRKT's website right now and found nothing regarding Kit's death. Furthermore I checked their facebook page where they post very frequently and they never even mentioned one word about Kit.

I agree with you, I am absolutely disgusted and filled with rage about this. Kit Carson was the person who made CRKT famous with his M-16 design. Several years later the M16 remains to be CRKT's most famous knife. I love CRKT's products and customer service, but I am EXTREMELY disappointed with them for not even bothering to make a quick facebook post honoring Kit's death.

I'm not sure I will want to buy anymore CRKT products from now on. :(
