We Knives Drakon - Thoughts

There's so much good stuff, my wife asked the other day, when will it end? Lol I don't know what to tell her because so many companies from all over the world are constantly coming out with new, amazing, well done, innovative designs.
I feel you buddy, I have a Bestech Small Emperor coming in the mail tomorrow and I have to intercept it before the wive spots it lol. Not that she minds my collecting but the less she knows the less she knows ;)

I was wondering if I should get the Wyvern first or if I should take the plunge! I also want the Deacon and just ordered one, so I definitely can't afford the Drakon and the Deacon

Take the plunge, afford it!

You’ll just want it until you do. Finish something you’ve been meaning to get done and reward yourself with the Drakon.

Very cool man, lol good luck with that! My wife intercepted my Isham Blackstar I picked up recently. Lol she didn't bat an eye luckily but I told her I'd actually be selling it here soon, which is true haha.

give your thoughts
Of all the WE knives I have seen here I like it the best because it seems the most practical to use.
I especially like the handle shape; it is right up my alley.
Personally I really like the scales. They are only vaguely reptilian in my view; I almost see them as plant like. Leaves or sort of pineapple. Not really I know but . . .

Dang . . . it is even affordable. Some how I always think of WE as being well above $300.

I love the look of that knife but could never have one because the scales overlap in the wrong direction and I just can't deal with that. When the knife is open, the scaled creature would move as if the blade was its tail and the back of the handle was the head.

It's like really bad physics in a sci fi or action movie, which makes it unwatchable.

I and quite a few other people pointed this out to WE and they just said something to the effect of, "One person's vision is different from the next." And me and the other people were like, "Yeah but the scales are backwards for real though. It straight up looks dumb."

I definitely see what you mean with that, now that I'm really looking at it, it is a little bothersome, but I still do think it's a really cool looking knife!

I do like your take on it overall, it is a neat design and it does seem fairly practical in use. I mean, the words affordable don't necessarily come to mind, although for the milling work, materials, and integral design, I do think the cost of it is fairly reasonable.

I feel the same way on the scale ( Lol ) direction Mecha. If they had faced them in the proper direction it would have salved a couple of possible problems. I guess the designer never held a snake or Dragon B4

Why is having the blade as the “tail end” wrong? Isn’t a dragon’s tail usually spiked?

Same here, I think it looks extremely cool other than the scales overlapping backwards.

Because the front or business end of a knife is the blade; towards the blade tip is "forward" on a knife.

I don't recall seeing any classic dragons depicted with spiked tails.

Only way WE could make it work is to have a dragon head at the back end of the knife handle, but if they just reversed the scale overlap they would sell a lot more of these.

Yes it's bizarre to have the scale overlap flow like that. It's simply not how scales work.
