We were all new here once

Didn't know where to put this I searched for an introduction area but couldn't find one.
I'm Wayne some may know me from another forum. I've recently tired of things there and decided maybe this may be the place for me. I've been a non paying member and lurker here for quite awhile but plan on being more present here.
I hope to contribute as well as learn from the members in this forum.

New guy here. My 10ish year old favorite EDC is no longer made and I figured this would be the place to either find one or get some ideas on a similar replacement. This little thing has dressed many a turkey and opened a thousand boxes at my job. The serrations make it perfect for the latter task. Everything they make new in the mini lacks serrations. I love the thick blade and open assist, and it's held up great. I've found a few on Ebay but most look about as well-used as mine. In a perfect world I'd find a new or like-new version. Hopefully my link will work, but it's a Benchmade mini Barrage 585s. UPC is 610953130817, if that matters. Blade and grip color, etc. are not important.

I know you said that you checked ebay, but I took a look and it looks like there are a few 585S's there that appear unused or close to it. And I see several listed at Worthpoint. I'm specifically referring to the 585S (Mini Barrage, partially serrated).

For general knife topics you'll get more views, and perhaps more responses if you start a new thread here in General Discussion. This thread is more of an introduction thread for new members, and a place to ask about how the forum operates, etc. To start a new thread in any subforum of Bladeforums click on the orange "Post Thread" button that appears on the right side of the screen near the top of the first page of any given subforum.
 
Thank you, and apologies for posting my query here. I'll recheck Ebay and look into Worthpoint before starting a new thread. I did see a couple new looking ones on Ebay, but they were well over retail. I think I paid $140 for this knife and hate to drop $250-300 to replace it. I've seen a few on forums that went for $100 or so in great condition. I just didn't find those in time. If it comes down to it, I'll overpay a little but for me half the fun is the search so I don't mind digging.
