Just received an email from Buck notifying me that the description of the S35VN and Macassar Ebony 112 on the website was in error. The knife has a Brass frame and not Nickel silver. They will be sending out corrected Certificates and would understand if I wanted to return the knife.....

I see the listing has been taken down, must have sold out.

here it is--beautiful 112--love the ebony--so I suggested the next 112 le be brass on 1 side and nickel silver on the other side with ebony--me too I love it DSC02415.JPG DSC02416.JPG DSC02417.JPG DSC02418.JPG DSC02419.JPG either way....

Wasn't just a bad picture. Bad description too. I wanted nickel silver and if you buy a cs knife, it's a 10.00 option. Funny, no offer to knock off 10.00.

I did get an offer to get any regular knife at 25% off full retail. That makes a 110 about 80% more than you can get one at walmart.

What a deal!!!
:)
Maybe you should have offered to keep it if they gave you $10 back. Seems fair.

I'm happy with it in brass, so I don't care.

It's pretty much 90% chance, mine's going back when it gets here. Kinda hate to be like that, but the NS bolsters actually was a big selling point, ALL my Custom Shop 110's I ordered with them for a reason.

I cancelled mine. Yellow brass was a deal breaker. Do not need a BCCI tang stamp either since I don't belong to the club.

Same here, probably going to return it and get the 192 Oak and Nickel Silver Limited Edition.

I find the BCCI stamp a plus to the collector, since it's going to be more rare than the regular yearly mark.

I don't mind the brass because it fits better with the Macassar to my way of thinking.

Maybe with all the returns they'll pop up again and I can get another one.......I was kind of kicking myself for not getting two.

:)

You get your head into something and that's what you expect. I don't blame anyone for sending it back. I am a little disappointed too. If the scales match it stays. If I get the one matched by the blind guy, it goes back.

Even though this knife has disappointing brass instead of NS, it is still a 112 with real Macassar scales and a super steel S35VN blade. We will probably not see this combination ever again.

Just ordered one of the 112 Buildouts this fine morning
there are limited amount of them left , so order one soon .

As always the customer service was outstanding . Thanks Buck Knives .

WTF!!!!! My 112 arrived this morning.... IT IS NICKEL SILVER !!!!

Beautiful knife, a keeper for sure. Edge grind is a little bit wider than I normally see but very uniform both sides. I would swear the edges of the wood look layered, personally I think mine are Dymondwood and not solid Macassar Ebony. Craig sold an identical knife on eBay 4 days ago with N/S frame and the letter with it signed by Houser said it was Dymondwood. My COA is identical to the one DOGPOUND77 shows above except mine correctly says "nickel silver bolsters".I think when the dust settles, these knives are going to be a mixed lot. Regardless, all in all, I'm very pleased.

You must be living right to have such Karma, DeSoto.

As usual, Buck is totally unpredictable.
