Web Special S35VN 112

That 112 blade that Mak took a photo of is a first year date blade of 440C. And sharpened so much it's a recurve. So, Mak is kidding. DM

You lost us on that one, Dave. Did the picture get lost somehow? I don't see any such blade here.

Try it again........slowly.

You guys are like the kids in Willy Wonka. :D

The Sambar 120 in 5160 that I got for $227 has gone up to $300.

The 121 Guides in Sambar are gone.

The Macassar 112s are gone.

I guess the fun is over for now.

pj, yes post 50. That photo could not be his knife. As it is a first year date blade, sharpened down. Hence, neither could it be 440C. Ha-ha, it is
a blade of 425M steel. I'm going along w/ his joke. DM

I got the joke right off. I started to comment on it when it was posted, but did not. Very funny. David was merely pointing out the particulars of that "custom" knife in the picture.

I got it too.
I'm not carrying my new 112, but rather my standard 420HC Dymondwood. I guess it's good because I was neglecting it. Also, I can beat that one up without really carrying. So, I was not really a 112 guy, but I have been carrying it lately and I really like the size and shape and how easily it opens and closes and the weight. Good stuff man.

Yep, I've been a 112 fan since 2007. .Finger grooves and a drop point is my favorite. I'm on Buck restriction till next year tho so I missed this one. Say has anyone actually used any Buck with the S35VN steel? I have one of the Cherry build outs but it went straight into the odd 112 collection and will not be used. The club Copper 112 with the S35VN is what brought me back to active collecting and I'm glad to see Buck giving the 112 a great run with super steels.

OK, we'll chalk it up to Dave being Dave.

:D

BTW, Dave.......it's not a "First Year Date" blade.

It's a 1987......meaning it's a "Second Year Date" blade.

Old 110Dave, bless his heart, would have explained the post by reference to the jar he kept out in the woodshed.

:D

Dave has had no access to the forum to post for months. .Since he could not log in he give up. I had the same problem for about 3 months till I was 'confirmed' . I really missed being a part of the community. I'll keep encouraging him to get the log in issue fixed. I miss him on here too..

BuckShack, I was second in the jump into some humor which some didn't get. Which started us off topic. Then a reference toward 110Dave lead us further down that road. As he, in his posts interjects rube style humor with statements of using 'shed Juice'. Something a kin to home
made liquor. So, excuse me. I'll get us back on topic now. Yes, the greater than symbol is for 1987. DM

Yes.......emphatically........tell him to get back here.

We need his juice humor.

I know 300Bucks is a very busy man, but maybe he could look into this log-in problem.

Somebody at Bladeforums should be able to fix it.

(Unless it's totally a Shed Juice problem.......then all bets are off!!!)

:D
