Website Logo Opinions Please

I like number 3 and I agree you should drop the "by" and put a / between artisan and outfitter. Or, better yet, just a big dot instead of the /.

I like 1 and 3. 2 is confusing (the vertically-arranged marks don't make sense). 4 is nice but then your mark is too faint.

I personally like the inverted W for the M. Great way to get more mileage out of a distinctive symbol :D

I like #3 the best, with #1 a distant second. Both would look good as a website header, or an a t-shirt or business card. The others are too busy for my taste, and don't tie in the mark with your name visually.

100% agreed with this.

You folks are giving great feedback... more than I hoped for... this is great.

To clear a few things up...

-Wildertools is one word, like Wilderness.
-My makers mark is two distinct characters of W and M... they are not simply rotated versions of the same character.

The suggestion to separate Artisan and Outfitter is spot on... definately doing that. I also tweeked the big "W" to look more like it belongs to "Wildertools". I am still debating about removing the "By" but the font would have to be changed to take up the space/length lost. We were leaning toward #1 and #3.... oddly enough those were the most popular.

Again, you have been a big help. I appreciate your time and opinions.

My maker's mark is two distinct characters of a W and an M. I need them both in the Website logo

Hey Rick,

I fall into the "complete strangers" catagory. Number 3 is the cleanest version of the three that use your makers mark.
Although some consider a logo and brand the same, that's not the case. Your "Brand" is you identity. Your craftsmanship, quality and dedication to your vision as well as to your customers IS your identity. People need to feel an emotional attachment to your products. The YouTube video "A tool is born" is a great example of creating an emotional response.
I think the fact that your products are Hand Made is your greatest asset.
Whichever Logo you choose, it's You that people are actually paying for.

If I'm honest, the one in your sig line, except darker text, darker mark, and drop "by". No "Artisan Outfitter".

No.3 for me.

The only one where it is obvious you ARE the artisan outfitter. With the others it looks like a brand not a description of what you are.
