Crab spider thing- Vinagaroon, Tailless whip scorpion, Harmless but she was big!
Pants- Bear Grylls Craghoppers. Actually have grown quite fond of these things. Woodsmonkey review soon.

Costa Rica looks great and although I've been down to Panama and SA, my wife and I have that on the list for a vacation.
