What's up fellas? I just got home not to long ago from my weekend trip. If you followed my other thread about going camping with a "drinking" buddy insttead of a "camping" buddy you'll appreciate this thread.
Overall I had a great time. The main things that bothered me, which I knew going into this thing, was the amount of drinking that went on (not by me). My major gripe is that damn cell phone. Who the hell goes camping to talk on the cell phone for a ridiculous amount of time?
Anyway, it was still nice to get out in the woods and try out a bunch of things that I read about on this forum. You guys are a great source of information. It was 95 degrees and humid so I spent as much time out in the water on my kayak as I could.
This was my first time ever camping in a one man tent. I borrowed from a different friend and I must say that I don't know why I don't own one of these things yet. I can't believe actually carry a 4 man tent to sleep one person. That little one man tent is super light and was super easy to set up. No rain in the forecast so I didn't even have to set up the fly.
I'll stop yapping and show pics now
Here's the tent I used
First night's dinner consisted of black beans, rice, pork chops cut up and thrown in, red and green bell pepper, and baby bellas. It was awesome.
Knife pic for no reason whatsoever
Here are some pics from out on the water.
