Hi Guys. I never had such experience before. I bought a knife from eBay. Seller sent it on time via FedEx and provided a tracking number. He used service without signature requirement. Tracking number says it was delivered last Saturday . I was at home whole day and got two other packages one from FedEx but big package with different number and one from USPS. I never received this particular package. Now I do not know what to do next. Anybody have such experience? Any opinions or recommendations? Thank you in advance!

I'd also contact FedEx. It's possible they delivered it to the wrong house. They may know the exact time the package left the truck and possible geographic location where the delivery occured.

Yes, thank you. I think there is no eBay nor seller fault. I just called FedEx. They asked some questions, like tracking number, name, address, package contents, etc. They opened a ticket and said I will get a call back from them tomorrow. So now I just need to wait for theirs call.

Definitely do this. Seems like they probably delivered it to the wrong address. Hopefully they can figure out who they actually delivered it to and whoever they delivered it to is a good person who won't just deny it. If they just deny they received the package I'm not sure what recourse you or FedEx would have.

Good luck with this, pretty crappy situation.

I had UPS deliver a gun to the wrong address once. It was years ago. I found the gun at the back door of a neighbors house. Still sealed in the box. I never trust UPS anymore. Don't trust FedEx or the USPS either.

If you bought it from ebay it is entirely the Seller's responsibility to work with FEDEX to track down the whereabouts of your package.
You paid for the item and haven't received it. You as the Buyer have the right to start a dispute resolution and you need to let the Seller know. I once had a similar situation and at first the Seller was rather nonchalant about it, but after I emailed them that I will have to open a DR they changed their tune quickly and worked at trying to locate it and keeping me informed. It eventually was found a few
days later. It seems many Sellers aren't aware that they re responsible until you get the item, and that includes mistakes by the carrier.

I had an issue where the US post office marked my priority package as delivered. I was at home and saw it online as delivered. I drove down to the post office and told them I was home and they marked the package delivered but nobody came to my door. The PO guy went off and looked then showed back up with my package. I noticed it was labeled with a knife companies logo and address. I wonder if someone was waiting to see if there were any objections to the original package being marked delivered. I guess I will never know.

This very thing happened to me. After several of hours of intense investigation[ I talked to USPS Supvs from MA to CA] I finally got a hold of someone competent to help me and ultimately track it down. Though marked' deliverd' it was in fact NOT delivered. But the customer service part of the ordeal was a bummer.
I have to express my disappointment with me most of the available shippers and I'm old enough to remember a much higher level of customer service from FED EX, UPS et al.

Contact FedEx before the seller, it might be something simple as it could still be on the truck or such. If Fed Ex can't find it then go after the seller. I"ve had plenty of similar experience, once involving a driver who seriously hated the job. I flagged him down and he insisted it wasn't there so I insisted he looked anyway and it was on top of everything.

This happened to me yesterday.
I placed an order on Sunday. Monday morning they had sent me the tracking details.
FedEx didn't update the tracking until Thursday morning. Even then, it said delivered at 9:28am.

It arrived around 12:30.

Luckily with fedex ground service you can get the driver verify the delivery of your package. We've actually found that we can get Fedex ground drivers to be held accountable for their mistakes and get them corrected (find the boxes) or make a claim. With express we have not been that fortunate.

We had shipped out an express package for a Christmas gift, Fedex says it was delivered but the customer never got it. He's not happy about it because it was two very nice Bark River knives and Fedex told us to stick it. They delivered, end of story. We shipped the customer two more knives and we thought that was the end of it.

Come to find out a week or two later the guys neighbor came back from vacation and found his knives. We got a call and the guy mailed them back to us. This was with fedex express. They won't check that they did their job right, they give themselves the benefit of the doubt every time.

I once had one marked delivered when I checked tracking but the package actually showed up the next day. Just recently as I was leaving the house I noticed a package on my porch, upon checking it out, saw it belonged to my neighbor so I dropped it off to them. I'd call them and have them investigate it just in case, hopefully it shows up or a honest neighbor brings it by.

This tracks pretty much exactly with my experience. I shipped a nice kitchen knife express to my sister for her birthday. FedEx delivered it to the wrong place, accepted the signature of someone not authorized to sign for it, then claimed they picked the package up and, if they did, delivered it to the wrong place again and this time neglected to get a signature at all.

I finally managed to get them to refund everything, but even the claims process was arduous and frustrating. I now try hard to avoid them.

Sounds like someone at FedEx errored. Contact FedEx immediately and report the error. Contact the seller and report the issue to them as well, ask them to contact FedEx and report the error. Stay on top of it.

Going to tracking; any of the courier companies online systems are estimates only. Not real time.

For actual real time tracking your best bet is to find a supervisor at the local hub who can check it for you.

I had this happen to me with USPS. Where I lived (a gated community) FedEx & UPS would deliver but not USPS for whatever reason I have no idea. The tracking would always say delivered or something similar but they would keep the package at one of the local warehouses. It was up to me to personally drive to each one of the 2 or 3 different facilities & stand in line for ever and try to locate the item. Always got it but it was not an easy process.

What are you waiting on? & best of luck finding it
