Welcome, FNG`s

Somehow I am not suprised.

I had a college prof my freshman year say, "War is preferable to a great depression." He was a WWII Navy vet -- Pacific Theatre. I took exception to his remark. He defended his position by saying in war there is the hope of winning and an end. In a depression there is hopelessness and despair and victory of any kind is elusive.

Let`s not have any mistakes. They cost blood.

I am the War Lord,(OK Warlock; Bill`s Idea.)
I am the fearful God of Combat.
I will always lead you from the front
I will treat you all alike...like ****
Thou shalt do nothing that I will not do first
Thus, you will be created Warriors in my deadly image
I shall punish thy bodies because the more thou suffer
In training, the less thou bleedest in Combat
Indeed, if thou hurteth for thy efforts and thou suffer
pain, then thou art Doing it Right
Thou hast not to like it....thou hast just do it
Thou shalt Keep it Simple Stupid
Thou shalt never assumme
Verily, the AF, or carrior CAG`s air,are not paid to punch holes
in the sky. However, much fun it is
Pilots who hit high speed stalls on strafing runs do little harm
And do not help the CAS mission
They are paid to fly gun platforms.
Let no GEN. tell you differently.
The Ground Commander is in Charge
All else is support to the rifleman
Verily, thou are not paid for thy methods
You are paid for thy results
Thou shalt kill thine enemey by any means availaible before
He killith you
Thou shalt, in thy Warrior`s Mind and Soul
Always remember my ultimate and final Command:
There are no rules~ Thou shalt Win at All Cost.

There is one tactical principal that is not subject to change:
It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of death, wounds and destruction upon the enemie in the miniminum amount of time.

I am a Bhuddist. I did not say that I am a good Buddhist.

That ought to do it for the FNG`s among us.

Your fellow foramite,
Call sign:xxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks Bill, Russ. We are Buds. Nothing can change that.
I punched the wrown button. So, I reckon this is not a reply.
What do I know: I`m just a poor white boy.

Well, for the elucidaition of our fellows; the BAS worked well for the rib cage splitting on deer this year. Next time, I am going to use the 22' Sirapati. Heck. I have a lot of choices; I might use the Royal Khuk. I think that I could rip it to the jaw in one stroke. It took two with the BAS.
I was able to drive to the game, so I could bring any weapons that I wanted.

Next season.

If I can just blather some random thoughts that just happened to pop into my head without admitting I'm talking about anybody in particular ... just random blather ... it sometimes happens that a fellow keeps getting banned from Bladeforums because he writes ambiguous posts that some people might read as interesting and possibly even profound at times, yet other people -- too many other people -- read as the ravings of a dangerous lunatic, even as threats, or sometimes misunderstand as the ravings of a racist bigot. I personally might think of a fellow like that as an okay guy really, a welcome participant; I might even try to stall off people who complain, "That lunatic is back again -- ban him!!!" and I might keep hoping maybe this time he'll be cool ... maybe this time he'll start reading his posts before he posts them and editing a little if that seems desirable to make his meaning clear ... as I'm cruising around Gotham City in my Supermoderatormobile I might happen to be looking the other way when I go by him ... as long as he isn't tearing off his clothes and running around the streets naked brandishing a 22" Siripati, I might be able to avoid noticing him; that could work ... as long as the public outcry doesn't get too loud ... if the good people of the village storm the mayor's office demanding protection from the lunatic, though, it's not going to be possible to avoid noticing him ... but pay no attention to me; I'm just blathering about nothing and nobody in particular....

The good people of the village are starting to complain already, though.

Thanks Coug., Your input is always welcome.
I suppose that clerical skills do not attach the same importance to me as to you. I have been used to having clerks. Nonetheless, I will try to do better. Can you say the same?
Why don`t you take a break, and see how it pans out?

A Super Moderator never sleeps! How could I hope for promotion to Super Duper Moderator and someday even Super Duper Whooper Moderator if I took breaks???

But even a Super Moderator can't be everywhere at once. I'm running off to Bernard Levine's forum now ... gotta make my rounds ... everything looks cool here on the HI forum but there's no telling what other people might be up to on other forums ... busy, busy, busy ... gotta fuel up the supermoderatormobile, too; you wouldn't believe how much fuel those twin turbojets use, and there aren't many gas stations with a jet fuel pump....

As ya`all know; no offense is meant by this; but I have to say that where I come from, the good people have a stong tendency to keep their noses out of business that does not concern them.
That may be a natural result of the good people being well armed. I think, along with all of the studies, that this is the case.
That is part of the definition of "good people".
I think that we can agree that this is Bill`s , and to an extent, Rusty`s forum.
It would only seem reasonable that they should have a say in the discourse.
I have gone to some trouble to explain my background and the life influences that I have had, and still have. I am still a risk taker. I will be one so long as my body will stand up to the demand. When that is lost; if my life does not go with it, I can still be an advisor. Or, at least, remember it, I hope.
I regret that some find my posts obtuse rather than enlightening. However, thinking is work, and it is not work that can be deligated.
Yeh, you really have to do it yourself.
As it seems to be so odious to some to think, I will be more clear. I consider this a loss to those few who do think and come to this forum partly for that reason.
Thank you for your time. The smarter of you will thank me for mine.

See, we are already having fun.
I can`t get by "EZ Board,(not for this child is it easy), to post on
Cougar`s Forum, or I would.
I just happen to have completed refresher training in, what is called here ERT. The rest of the world calls it SWAT. I`m not THE Sheriff, don`t ask me why!

I might be able to help if you can tell me exactly what's going wrong -- what error message do you get?

If you've ever registered at any ezboard forum you're probably registered for all of them; you should be able to log in and be recognized by the ezboard system -- if you remember the username and password you used.

HOT ****!!He's BACK!! I DON'T CARE what CALL SIGN HE USES, JUST AS LONG AS HE'S HERE ON THIS FORUM!! ANYTIME HE WANTS TO VENT & FEELS HE MIGHT DISTURB CERTAIN PEOPLE HE CAN MAIL ME & rant all HE WANTS!!Yeah, I know I'm yelling!!HUGE GRIN!
jim :D

Hi Warlock,

Your posts don't bother me in the least. Of course I've only read the ones above...;) What exactly are you trying to explain to those you refer to as FNG's. Do you mean FNG's militarily or NG's to this forum, or do you mean FNG's who don't know you and where you stand on things?

At any rate, welcome (back?) to the Cantina:). I've been around for about 2 years, but my memory isn't that great. What was your screen name before?

Ivy Mike, Warlock's second post appears to have been lifted out of "Rogue Warrior" Richard Marcinko's musings.

I don't have a problem with Warlock failing to attribute it, because he was already living by the code long before the Rogue ever thought of publishing it. Undoubtedly parts of it were well known in the army of Phillip of Macedon, let alone his son Alexander.

Richard Herman from time to time in his novels lists the Air Force Version. It starts with Rule one being "always check 6" and ends with Rule 14 or Rule twenty being "never forget rule one". All other rules change in priority according to the situation and may on occassion, briefly, temporarily, and barely push Rule one into being Rule 2 for the time being.

Haven't read of Sun Tzu other that excerpts from him. Niccolo Machiavelli probably covers some similar ground.

Having said that, like Will Rogers, "all I know is what I read in the papers" personally.

Well, other than after the Sheriff exhausts the remaining seventy-nine days to issue my carry license I will #1) forgive the whole of the medical profession and #2) never again let a doctor or nurse get closer to me than my bible. Well, my bible cover at least, and a thin Testament providing it does not interfere with spare magazines. Even if it does result in upset radiologists.

Yes I am joking, and yes, I am as always telling you the exact truth. Ain't that a hoot?
