Just a few suggestions, why not make this thread a "sticky" to commerrate BK&T getting it's own forum? Also I just want to say I think you're behind the best fixed blade knives and cookbooks out there, I literally learned how to cook by reading "Joy." But anyway how about giving some thought to bringing out some models in an affordable but fairly tough stainless steel, like 440A? And I think the Becker Necker blade design is worthy of being turned into an affordable frame-lock folder with say drilled out stainless steel handles.

My son's KaBar and my modded Campanion by Ilbruche. My Becker is one of my all-time favs! Nimble in hand yet built like a tank!

I am so stoked that you have your own forum Ethan! I can't wait to start buying Beckers. I have a Necker, BK2, and BK7 on my list. I sold BK7s at sportsman's warehouse a few years ago. I LOVED the handles, the blade size, and quality. It was reasonably priced and I should have gotten one. After they sold out and camillus went under, I knew I'd never get another chance. But, I'm glad you're back and with KA BAR (a better company than camillus IMO). I love my KA BARs and expect nothing less from your line. Keep up the good work, and good luck in the future! Cheers!

Dear Mr. Becker,

I was dismayed when Camillus went under, thinking your line of knives were lost forever, and I had hoped that you would partner up with some other worthy company. Good to see you back! I wish you much success with this next generation of production of your excellent knives, and I look forward to owning a few of them.

Regards!

Welcome Ethan,

The only Becker I have at present is a very well thumbed and food-stained cookbook (the family favorite). I started getting more serious about knives right about the time that your knives were disappearing from the market. I'm glad they are back again. I see a necker and BK-9 in my future.

Bill, can you tell us a little about the top and the bottom knives?

Ethan,
I still have my BK&T 9 that I bought years ago, I first used it as a compact machete to chop through the Florida woods and swamps as a wildland firefighter working on wildfires and prescribed burns.
I now use it while archery hunting to carry when I have to follow up a wounded wild hog (no firearms allowed) it gives me a great sense of security knowing that I have it with me. The first sheath was black leather and when that wore out I orderd the plastic sheath from Camillus that I still have today. I believe my knife is 440 C steel (?)
Thank you for making a great knife and I'm happy to see you on Bladeforums!
