Welcome!!!!!

Ethan,

First off, congrats on the new forum. Secondly, sorry I won't be able to work with you and Marty this year at Terrill's. My schedule won't permit. Most importantly, great to hear Becker Knives is back up and running. I know over on the WS&S there are a lot of faithful users. It's great to have some new classics back in action!

You must be happy and proud about the Traffic this Forum has seen so far.
It's like, there were a whole lot of Becker Fans just waiting for your products to return to Market.:):D

My story is, I bought my first BK7 about a year before the factory closing. I searched for more BK&T knives after seeing how much I liked the BK7, which brought me to the BF site, which is the first time I ever became a member of a Forum. Before the factory closing I landed 3 BK7's and 2 BK2's. Looked high and low for my first Becker Necker and yesterday Christmas came early, in the mail came my first necker BK11CSM which I'll EDC.

Thanks for the Great Knives Mr. Becker.

Hey Kev and 555...

I am extremely gratified that people have been so loyal and so interested in my babies.....It comes, in part, as a surprise because Camillus evidently sold a WHOLE bunch of my blades that did not show up on my royalty statements...Ditto Blackjack,
so BK&T's popularity, or lack thereof, has been something of a mystery....Mind - the past is past and you can paint Ethan a very happy camper...Thanks for your kind sentiments and support!!!

All best....

It is hard to believe BK&T has yet to find stable ground or a good stable manufactor, hopefully Ka-bar will be that for you Ethan,I love the Design of all the Becker blades just never had the cash to buy all the models... Ethan,
I know this post is a little late but I would like to welcome you also. I have been so busy with building my new house, my survival school, canoe & Camping trips etc,, that I don't get on the forums much anymore. Hopefully that will change soon as we plan on moving in next week.
I can't wait until April, 09 when we can get together again in NC. We always look forward to seeing good friends even if it is only for a week. As Kevin mentioned he won't be joining us this year.
Marty Simon
PS: Aggie says hello to her favorite chef and outdoorsman.

Hey Marty

Always better late than never.......AND THEN YOU GET TO UNPACK....YUCK.....I too am looking forward to april...

As always, my best to you and your lovely bride...

Mr. Becker,
Second post about this just different thread. I am so greatfull of your knives being made again. I had a crewman years ago but someone stole it. I recently bought a BK-7 to replace my RAT-7 that sufferd a rolled edge from battoning through an oak knot. I Have nothing but praise for your knife but the sheath is ......bleah. I realise that was probley a factor to keep the price down to increase sales. I am a marine and the fact it was not molle capable blew my mind. Seems like everything is these days. I ended up taking my RAT-7 shealth and put it in hot water to break the liner loose. I then heated it over the gas stove and reformed the liner around your knife. After cooling i epoxyed it back in the RAT sheath. SWEET, now I can have it on my flak. As for the little guy, "BK-13" I wraped some foil around the blade and put it in my EDC IFAK/PSK. Thanks Mr. Becker you kept me from buying another knife and not being satisfied again. You are a true artist.

Hey Hank....

The next batch of sheaths will probably come closer to meeting your approval..... I will be talking to KaBar on the morrow.....I am hearing what you are saying!!!!....Glad you are so happy with the knife !!!.....Thanks for your post...Please come back any time.......

All Best....

Hey, ya'll...I put my old BK7 to use today, made it a point to cut some firewood, batonned through some thick lumber, did a little branch chopping, then sat with my son and dressed up the edge. :D

I'll get a Kabar BK7 as a spare here soon (got one on the way) but...well...I just can't retire my old Camillus. Something sentimental about using it, I guess.

A BKT forum? Yup. Life is good.

thx - cpr

Congrats on the new forum, just what I needed, another place to procrastinate...:D

I am really looking forward to picking up some K-Bar Beckers, I've already got my shopping list made out for my next trip back to Canada ...

BTW, what companies will be your principal retailers in Canada ?

Hey you old fart, it's about time you got your own forum. I'm happy to see the Becker line back out, especially with the good folks at KaBar building them. I know they will do well with John and Paul at the helm. Mixing Becker with KaBar is a surefire recipe for success!

As always, if there is anything Mike and I can do to be of assistance, let us know. Looking forward to seeing you at SHOT.

Best,

Jeff

Good talking at you today, Ethan. BTW: if you have an email address that actually works please email it to me. I forgot to get it from you while we were on the phone. Send it to jeff@ratcutlery.com

Thanks, brother.

Jeff

I'm very excited about this new colaboration. Becker is one of my favorite hard use brands and they have served me well for alot of years as have Ka-Bars products.

Great, american made products at a price point that rivals the imports.

Mr. Becker, congrats on the new forum and the new line. I for one am very glad to have you.

This is my favorite and most used Becker. A crewman that has been put through the ringer more than enough to prove it's worth. It's split wood, skinned all sorts of fauna, prepped meals and cut things no knife should have to cut. It's on it's third set of handles, these happen to be my own homemade "ghettocarta", before that was wood after the plastic handles were melted in a rather unfortunate tent fire. This was the first knife I tried my hand at Kydex on and that has also served me well.

Thank you for putting out a great product that we can depend on.

Hey Shotgunner....

I am glad you did not melt with the handle slabs..... That sounds like a good enough story to get free replacements if you want them!!!!....It looks, however, that your homebrew replacements are doing just fine!!!... let me know though if you need new factory ones....Thankyou for your kind praise.....

All Best...

I'm pretty glad I didn't melt too!:D

Thank you for the offer of the handles but I like the homemade jobs, they add charisma.
