Its dialup!

So, anyways. Ill try to get as many pics up as I can. the last few weeks have been awsome, doing some hunting and have been having a great vacation, alot of playin with knives. Im still awaiting my BK7, and ka-bar and what not, but the Ka-Bar 8" tanto and nimravus have been awsome. The revolver is amazing though, just on a day hike thats what I have with me.

So, Ill get some pics going in this thread, nice to be back guys.

I'm loving that SOG! (not to mention the 110 and the sunrise)

Nice pictures!

Nice property! Do you like the hunter revolver vs. non-gut-hooked?

I do like the hunter better, and that flat grind in the main reason.

If the normal revolver came with a flatgrind than I would have that one, but as of right now the only one that has it is the hunter.

Awesome. Well I'm glad your back, BFWSS has been lonely without your pictures!

Nice pic Fonly! Really appreciate the sunrise!! One of my favourite moments!

Beautiful pics, really makes me wish for a cold day, here in Brisbane its warming up too much!

That 110 looks great in that pic, like it really belongs out there!

Welcome to the world of dial-up my friend! At least you have access, that is much, much better than the alternative.

BTW welcome back!

what kind of axe is that?

As far as I know (and hope) and am under the impression that it was made from my grand father. It cuts beautifully, but an 6-8" blade of the same weight is alot more usful, though it did hold up pretty well.

As to hunting, not alot now. Only been doing small game as of right now, its relaxing and fun for me. Athough when I found out it was going to be $20 for a small game license and a wildlife stamp I was NOT pleasntly suprised.:D

Here are some more guys. A trip from yesterday with my Girlfriends younger brother (man its nice to be back with family)

Dialup? Argggh! I just recently switched to DSL so i still remember the pain. You have my sympathy.
Great pics though!
Hmmm i've been wanting one of those Ka-Bar Tanto's for a loooong time.
Obviously you use yours how does it compare to the regular USMC Kabar?
I've got the discontinued stainless version of the Kabar black fighter http://www.agrussell.com/knives/by_maker/e_through_k/kabar/kabar_black_fighter.html
I love that knife but i'm thinking he needs a tanto shaped friend, lol.

To the USMC I dont know 100%, Im still waiting the USMC to get here, but the Tanto work very very well. Good chopping ability, and the weight it there. Though its slim and rides good. The USMC did the like back in alberta, but well see how it works in real woods:D

When it come Ill do a full comparison of the two. I've noticed though the serrations are very strong, and whie chopping they fly through 2" trees and down. When I could take a 2" poplar in one swipe with the 24" tramontina, it takes three for the 8" ka-bar so no bad in my books.

Cool! I look forward to your comparison. Either way it sounds like i need to get another Kabar!
I don't have any tanto blades yet so thats another reason to get it.
:D
Man deja vu, Nova Scotia looks a lot like Newfoundland!
I need to get out in the country again soon!

Yeah, I have my girlfriends side of the famiy is from NFLD, ever heard of leadingtickles?, I guess its north of Grandfalls. Beautiful country up there.

Over the next couple weeks Ill be testing how the coating hold up. If it takes a beating, and alot comes off, I may just remove it all. If not, it might add some personality to it. I can drasticly change the look of a knife, I remeber Pitdogs ka-bar he polished up, some sharp looking (pun intended:D)
