It is really amazing.
One can ask any knife question around here and get a reasonable, accurate answer.
Though, there are still areas where we could improve.
Images are still lacking, which makes getting a sense of style kind of hard. Too many photos shoot for artistic instead of getting gritty and showing detail, and makers seem to only get images of the usual stuff, which is boring, I would like to see a maker that would get an image of every different knife that is made, like Neil does pretty well.
And involvement, it is still quite a jolt to read through a Knives Annual, the sheer scope, amazing.
Which brings up another point, variety. There seems to be good bit of information on stock removal tactical pieces, but not as much info about the forging style and science.... Or multiblades, or sliplocks or classic skinners, or other classics.
And where are the foreign knife design sites?
Or the sites with imagery of historical knives and such?
But we are coming along.
