Well It Worked

I asked Ray NOT to have protruding steel at the pommel since I think it looks better that way. If you look at picture six (cc5.jpg), the steel is flush. Just my opinion but since it is my money,..... :D
 
That's cool. The handle looks great without it.

I only wanted it there for occasional light hammering. It can be handy for tent stakes.

I hope you enjoy the knife! Ray really offers a ton of knife for the money. His fit and finish is awesome and his edges are amazing.
 
I was really thinking the Camp Knife would be a big chopper. I have a dogfather and a battle rat for choppers. Since both have a coating I never tried them for batoning. My JK 5.5L" x 1H" x 5/32" thick Kephart is what I use to baton and it does a very good job, even on tough oak. I guess the Camp Knife would be the heavy artillery.
