Well...It's Friday...

Does fiddleback take orders straight thru fiddleback or do I have to let a dealer do that sort of pre-ordering?

Andy does not do custom orders...what comes up on the fiddleback friday thread are their offerings for the week...what does not sell can often be found at the dealers (ALONG WITH SOME MADE FOR THE DEALERS).
 
Just great!...darn.. going to have to talk to a dealer see what they can do. I work so fiddle Friday will never work.
 
^ if you watch the flea market...chances are something will pop up that will suit your fancy! Most of what comes up there suits mine :)

the Flea Market here has a lot of good stuff popping up recently, just look through the last few pages of the sticky above. Even Ebay has a couple up for auction at the moment. Lot of options, but if you are very very specific in your wants, you might have to wait a while for the chance of an exact configuration to pop up.

Take a vacation and go to Blade Show. Lot of insane knives are getting set aside for the event.
 
Based on this weeks sneak peak thread, there is a chance (no guarantee) that a camp nessie will be in today's batch at 3 pm est. Good luck my friend, it's a popular model.

Since Fiddleback doesn't do custom orders, (they're a handmade knife shop, not a custom shop) you'll be looking for one that matches your desires. There's such a wide variety of models and configurations that most people find what they're looking for.

There are 3 main ways of buying a Fiddleback.

1. Fiddleback Friday

Every Friday a batch of 20+ knives is posted to the Fiddleback forum. This is an exciting, and some times frustrating, way of getting a Fiddleback. It's suggested to look at old posts to see how the process works (Look for "Fiddleback Friday" threads) and maybe just watch a few of them before jumping in the shark infested waters.

2. Dealers

If you're not able to shark a knife on Fiddleback Friday, there are several dealers that also get batches of knives. Keep an eye on the below sites and look for posts in the Fiddleback forum for when they get batches in.

The Flea Market is a Fiddleback only version of Blade Forums Knife Exchange. This is where individuals post up knives for sale or trade, and can put in Want To Buy (WTB) or In Search Of (ISO) requests. It's in the stickies at Fiddleback Flea Market

Go to the last few pages and see what knives are currently up for sale or trade.

Welcome to the fun! Check the places the fellas mentioned often, actually stalk them. Hunting down your desired Fiddleback is all about patience and timing. Good luck, it's definitely worth it!

Yall have fun with the feeding today. I'm 'stuck' at the pistol range this afternoon. It's tough work .. but they keep handing me free ammo and demanding i shoot it. :D
