But during their production, were they selling for more or less than Andy's hand made pieces?

I think now they sell so high because they're not in production anymore.

I didn't get one when they were on knivesshipfree. I sure wish I had! There were some pretty handles, if I remember correctly!

I just got my first Bark River knife. From what I have seen, the price of Bark River's depends on the handle. Their basic models are reasonable, but the more exotic materials can make the cost go up significantly.

I got a nat can Gunny. It's my first A2 and first full convex. I love it. Makes me wish I got a production Recluse.
 
I hope the price on the midtechs will reflect the fact that they were not hand made in house. There are a lot more Fiddlebacks I want in my arsenal, but don't have the scratch to pick them all up. Hopefully this wave of midtechs will remedy my dilemma.
