Well...It's Friday...

As soon as I saw it I thought of you. It would be a perfect fit.

Yeah, I almost cried when I saw it... Perfect version for me, I love that handle and the grind. It would be a fun one to play with, but sadly the complete oposite of perfect timing...c'est la vie. Maybe I can catch it later on when I have more funds. It would be a good one to take to the smokies next week, but the paradox is that if I bought it I couldn't go to the smokies next week...and after screwing the family out of the two weeks we had planned in Florida this year spending the money on truck repairs so I can keep working it to death...I might not survive screwing them out of the long weekend in the smokies, and I gotta sleep some time :)

Exactly.

Now...where in the Smokies? Not far from me, friend...

It appears the slyvrfalcen was a tad bit popular....

Why? Why did that Esquire have to have orange pinstripes?!?

I was thinking the same thing...

Tiny details make a big difference in the final decision between "buy" and "pass" for a lot of folks. Personally, I love the bi-color handle on the ED Karda today. Very cool looking set-up. If it was 3/32", it would be a buy for me. In 1/8", it's a pass. We all have our personal quirks.

It's a tough challenge every week for the guys at the Forge to guess which steel and handle combos will have people fighting to buy them. I think price point has something to do with people's decision to buy also. Some weeks the crystal ball is clearer than others to anticipate what will be in demand. If they got it 100% right every week, I would advise them to quit selling knives and open an investment advisory business to make a lot more money.

You are right, and I agree with you. However, I would have loved it had it been natural and white, or black and lime green!

I can do orange, but lime accents are always a no go for me. White works most of the time, but what I have really been looking for lately are natural or OD liners with no accents :)

Yeah for me black white blue and natural works for me... I have one that I like with lime green but for the most part is a no go

Shows how different people have different likes. I like green, white & natural. Blue only works for me in some rare cases with natural.

As far as the pinstripes go, I'm not that big on Orange. However, as far as bolsters, liners and pins go I definitely prefer black. I'm not a fan of the natural or OD.

Would love to see a spine shot of the ED Karda, seems like a fairly unique knife.

It's a good thing for Andy that we all like such a variety of handle combinations. Or a nightmare.
