Well...It's Friday...

yeah I'm home this time. But I'm afraid of what I might spend. The sharks have been thick recently

Looking through this week's pics: MIND BLOWN.

Excuse me while I find a bank to rob or something...

Are you kidding me, been sat waiting for a Camp Knife all day, now I get called into a meeting!

I've had no luck getting in on time for months~ always 10-20 minutes late. could i just get dibs on the duke or the woodsman?

Heck Mist, I have no idea what it takes to market or sell a how to piece to your customer base, but I think that trying to sell a winter piece made in July might be tough. The green leaves and the rolled cotton is sure to be noticed. You better get out there, spring is a comin.

Hey Guys and Gals, if mistwalker bites and goes to the woods, that's one less shark!

Hi Mist, I wanted to share something with you. I was working outside most of the afternoon yesterday making firewood (Saturday), and other than the angle of the sun, it was pretty much the winter place it has been for the past 4 or more months. Temperatures were somewhat mild at around 40-45. This AM I was outside, and temps were well below freezing, but I heard a Robin singing in the yard. Those very first sings of Spring are so welcomed. What is interesting, I saw no signs of Spring yesterday after working outside for over 4 hours. Of course it is sort of hard hearing those subtle signs with a hard hat, ear muff sound supressors and a saw running. But I wanted to let you know. It is coming. Those Robins should reach you in about a week or two. Stay out there and enjoy!

Yeah, some of the snow in my back yard is melting away, but not so much in the woods where there are more shadows. I keep watching my birdfeeders. So far there are lots of woodpeckers, a few Cardinals and Bluejays, several smaller birds like Finches maybe, but as of yet no Robins :) One of the Fiddlebacks I am using will be here tomorrow according to the tracking, so I'll be at the PO drinking coffee and waiting on them to open, then headed straight to the deep woods while it still looks like winter :)

Well...it's Friday again, albeit barely. I am thankful I have the KE Bushie and the Bushcrafter I picked up this last week to work with, and mother nature pushing my deadlines harder than any of my editors ever do, so I'll be busy enough today to miss the show. I am curious though, thanks to last weeks twitter tease, as to just what Andy, Ken and crew will post tomorrow that would put my soul, or at least my sanity, in jeopardy once again :) These double bolsters that have been popping up are just sweet!

Have a good day working tomorrow mist! Wish I was out there with you, but I'll be in meetings all day tomorrow and will miss the show as well.

Good luck to all the sharks! May your bolstered, shadetree, stainless, tapered, [insert model here] wishes come true.

Thanks Thurin! It gets really quiet out there at times. Most of the time that is very therapeutic for me and I enjoy it, other times I wish someone was there to talk to.

I'll just be observing again tomorrow .. picked up a few on the secondary market this past week and tomorrow is going to be busy with a split shift hours .. ugh. But ... I'm VERY happy with my recent second-hand FFs!

I'll be most likely observing as well. Changes in work policies make it difficult now for me to access the forum. Fridays are almost impossible from my phone. I can use my mobile hot spot but its trying to time the batch release.

Yeah, the time frame is an obstacle for me too sometimes. On one hand I wish it were the same time every week, and then I think the randomness of the timing is one of the few levelers of the playing field, considering people come to this forum from all around the world.

I have had good luck, clear and sunny here this morning, and I got an early start, so I have already gotten a few of the photos taken for multiple projects. So, with it staying light longer, on clear day like today I'll have plenty of time this evening to do a whole lot more. I've gotten word that the pay for a project I turned in months ago will be here late next week or the week after. It is tempting to try for a strategically placed looong lunch, and do some sharking :D But, with the temp supposed to hit near 50F here today, I know I only have so many days left to work with the snow and ice. I think I need to drink a cup of coffee or two, go back to the woods to work a while and think on that more. I am enjoying using the two I have simultaneously on different projects, so I almost feel guilty sharking...but sometimes the lure of the shark pool is just too much to resist, and Andy and the crew have been putting out some gorgeous pieces...that double bolster from the twitter tease will show up soon I think :)
