Well...It's Friday...

So if I understand the question right...
As long as your time stamp on the edited version beats someone else's official description. I don't think Andy and crew should have to scrutinize down to the second who posted what first either.

Let's say there is a recluse sporting a tux and a different recluse sporting lacewood. It's my opinion (and I stress my opinion) that there's nothing wrong with posting "I'll take the Lacewood Recluse" and then going to the official discription and copying and pasting the official lacewood discription to edit your original post.

If the fiddleback bosses think this is unkosher then oh well, rules are rules.

Congrats man! Don't count yourself out yet, your future bride might 'want' a nice new FB for an engagement gift. Start the marriage off right

Exactly, I introduced my wife to Fiddleback Forge, she has had a couple of her own and understands why I like and use Andy's knives.

That's the attitude all sharks should have. I don't see that there is anything wrong with that, just as long as you're being scale specific. If there are two tuxedo bushfingers than you need to be uber specific.

My thoughts too man, but I just do as Andy asked in the post and leave it at that. I can't tell anyone else what to do, and don't care what they do as long as it is not an obvious attempt to cheat. It's fast paced, it gets hectic, as long as whatever works for Andy and Ken, I'm good with it.

Guys, I believe Andy has posted NO EDITING of "I'll take it" posts. If you do edit it in any way, your post would be disqualified if caught. If you post "I'll take the purple Bushfinger", you better just leave it at that.

That's my understanding

After last weeks episode, I wouldn't recommend editing your post until after Ken posts who won the knives. If you edit as stated above there is no evidence that you first specified which knife you wanted, and therefor could be taken as a "space saving". Just my .02 from someone who dealt with it last week. This was my prior strategy but I forgot to indicate the scale type so I edited that and got busted. I can't tell you what to do, but I will be copying and pasting from now on, if I miss the knife, I miss the knife.

He said to clarify in a second post after the fact if you read the rules he has established!

So you don't have to post the full description? Okay. I always did just to make it easier on Andy and Ken. That's good to know. Thanks Will:thumbup:

Where is this "Established rule of clarify in a second post..." that you are referring to?

I'd like to copy and paste it in this thread for everybody.

I think we'll eventually get to a point where they'll require that we post their full description. There will be more mistakes or corrections that will eventually push us down the road. I think we all should, but until Andy and crew actually start skipping people for not doing it, I'm really not able to accommodate...cuz the fastest people won't. It would only take one week of enforcing "full description" for us to change. I'd submit a video of me requesting the knife if that's what Andy wants....

I can't find it Dudeman. I think it was in a Fiddleback Friday intro a while back. He has said he wants us to post the whole description but partial ones won't be denied. Then somewhere he asked if we would not edit posts to clarify but add an additional post for clarity. That is considering you didn't post the entire description to begin with. It was only to deal with editing posts that would leave room for trouble, suspicions and hard feelings.

Yeah, we think a lot alike :)

Got my Curly Q hunter today. Its pretty epic. Cant wait to see whats in store today!

The Curly Qs are just something else! Newyork has a Curly Q Kephart that is just fantastic and makes me want one every time I see it :)

If you really want to shortcut I would recommend posting the knifes number. It's only 3 digits, it's specific. The draw back is that you can copy it before hand. Since I really like all of Andy's knives and I prefer the small ones, I've thought about just copying 03 and pasting and getting whatever it turns out to be. If there is a special knife to Andy it is usually 01, the larger numbers are usually bigger knives, thus more expensive. With my luck if I copied 16 it would turn out to be a $500 piece that ultimately I don't really have any use/ desire for. Following this would likely insure you get a knife, albeit might not be one that you need or preferred. I call it a wide mouthed shark attack.

Well friends take comfort in the fact that I won't be able to participate today it seems. However if anyone loves me please grab the KE Bushie for me. You will then have attained to being my bestest friend ever! I am serious but doubtful!

Is there a Bushie in this group? Maybe my eyes are failing me. I thought that bolstered burlap one was an Arete
