budgetary reasons mostly....

besides my 2013 short list consisted of a Case Trapper in Amber Bone and CV and a GEC 66 jack in ebony ....
since my budget was enough to find a case trapper and not enough for the 66..lol choice was pretty easy

maybe if things continue to pick up i can get me one of them there fancy gec barlows and/or boys knives...but until then...CV baby ;)

Hey, congrats! Your hard work has paid off, sounds like. Good on ya.
...and enjoy your new Case trapper. There's a good reason it's one of the best-selling knives in the country. ;)

Ryan,

It's always great to hear of good things happening to good people - congratulations!

Congrat's, Ryan.

How has your sodbuster held up through the last several months.

If I would have seen this thread when it originally posted I would have mentioned that I wore out a stockman knife cutting twine to tie carpet remnants. Wore out the spring on one of the blades so it would bend beyond 180 when I pulled up on the blade cutting twine. Just curious how the sodbuster held up.

thanks!

i actually didnt stick to the sodbuster for very long.
its rather blunt tip made it harder than i would have prefered and ended up going with knives with more of a tip
mostly a buck 301 and more recently a gec 85 with a wenger SI as a backup
