The Proposition is worth the watch, great actiny and a great story, pretty gritty.
 
I think Unforgiven is probably my favorite, but I'm partial to A Fistful of Dollars as well.
Also have a soft spot for Quigley Down Under and El Diablo.
Dances With Wolves was also great but it was about as much western as it was civil war film-not much of either.

Don’t put it on while young children are in the room; there’s a real chance of a flashback or ptsd, especially in the opening sequence shootout
 
Dang! That's hard to believe. I loved that show. The theme comes into my head any time I hear Reveille.
