Whacha Been Up To......

I’m tired of the crappy belts in clothing stores, so I did something about it and made something for myself. A single-layer casual belt made from brown Wickett and Craig Bridle leather.

That will last you a long, long time. Wicet and Craig bridle leather is some of the finest

So I was asked to build a pocket carry sheath for a Carothers EDC2 knife. Four or five pattern changes later, I’ve ended up here lol

Second pattern proto try on left above, third on right I like.

In pic above you can see where I ended up. The dual stitch is a little more robust. On the single stitch I adjusted my lines a little. These work cross draw or with mummert or ulticlip 3.3 slim.

Looks awesome!👍

Thanks guys, that one border stamp is quite handsome to use, glad I picked that one up for sure. The one with the double was dyed light brown, using that air sprayer really helps to apply a nice even coating of dye, but they are a pain to clean up afterwards, which is a must to prevent cross contamination of dyes or clogging up the mechanism.

Like that my friend, getting the hang of the Carlos pattern.

The new owner of this knife and sheath asked if I could make him a matching holster for his Staccato. After some comic relief getting the yellow "bluegun," I got er done. Apparently I'd put the Bluegun in my cart but had not finished the purchase. So bout two weeks later I call asking about the Bluegun I hadn't received yet. Of course now they are out of stock. Was able to find a yellow "bluegun" though.

So a week after ordering the yellow bluegun, it showed up and I was able to get to work:

I’m really liking the tooled horizontal sheaths you’ve been making.

Nichole has been busy on a couple of prototypes that she was very happy with how it came out. She'd had made a distant relative a purse. It was stolen from the ladies car after she had it for a while. Nichole had been running through her head in the meantime how to solve some of the lining problems that she'd had and got em figured on this one to replace the stolen purse:

Second project was for a wine carrying bag for which she'd had several requests:

It too is completely lined. The flap with water buffalo and the body is with a jacquard print she found at Hobby Lobby of all places:

She padded the bottle dividers and the bottom of the bag:

She's working on a two bottle bag now and I've got a batch of knives going.
Very nice bags especially,blue one

Yes I’m a complete amateur as evident but it doesn’t stop me from trying. My current wallet is disintegrating and I figured I could try to make a new one from a piece of scrap leather. Place for my drivers license, my credit card and a small Texas toothpick. All a gentleman needs 😊

Edit: can’t have this thread hijacked by the pros can we… I shamelessly show off my amateur contraptions 🤣
