Whacha Been Up To......

Very nice work! Beautiful buff horn on that Buck. Hard to truly photograph well that buff horn. I use to use it a lot and I'd be at a show and somebody would be looking at a knife with the buffalo horn on it. I'd tell em take it outside and move it around in the sun. They'd almost always come back in and start handing me money.

All of this weeks orders two wallets and a pocket slip. Also my first two international orders!

Really simple 5 pocket front pocket wallet based off the customers current wallet that was just genuine leather. This one is heading to a small island country named Cyprus by Turkey, Egypt, and Syria.

Dark brown slip for a GEC #43 in natural micarta. I really like the subtle black stitching on this one. B4D6E279-0028-4E81-B6FF-348395D97F32.jpeg

Lastly a field notes cover/ wallet with some orange thread. I sent him some designs and this was the more unique one of them. It’s headed to Germany tomorrow!

Nice! I like how you had "these" Coronas to help put the handles on.

An old project I started years ago and finished today. Knife and sheath by me.
The knife is strongly inspired by German WW1 trenchknives.
The sheat is nubuck leather over vegetable tanned leather. I like how the sheath came out, only thing is that is is a bit to tight.
If you pull the knife you need to press your thumb against the sheath or the clip lets go and the sheath comes with the knife.
Something to improve for a next one but OK for now.

I’ll have to message you once I have some more money laying around.

Almost done with my fiancées padfolio. I should finish up the hand stitching tomorrow along with the last bit of edging.

I’d also like to know when you have some round knifes available. Cause I’d also like to try one

Best bet on that deal would be to email me directly (email address in my signature line). I can get ya the details then.

Looking good. What did ya use for a stiffener there on the cover?

I’ll be sure to email you once I have the extra cash!

For the stiffener I used some acrylic painting stock board/paper from hobby lobby. This is also the stuff I use for my patterns it’s nice and stiff, but I should have order a slightly heavier oz for my back piece. It’s currently a 5-6 oz with a 2-3oz liner. I think a 7-8oz would be a lil better structure wise but I can adjust accordingly for the next one.

These are the knives I needed to make before I could start the batch of knives I'm taking to our big show this year. We leave on the 16th, got 42 to do. Nichole has already been working on show stock. She's made a wide variety of our wool vests, (ever wonder why its Horsewright Clothing and Tack Co?). I think we'll have 8 altogether in stock in various sizes and colors. All double wool vests her specialty. She just finished this one:
