What’s your favorite big name/well known/large scale production knife and/or company?

Spyderco- never been disappointed with any of them. PM2 was my favorite folder until getting the M2- just love it.

Victorinox- great knives, fantastic saw blades, the best tweezers for splinters, and great scissors.

Buck, I like my 117 in 5160 and wood Handle, cannot remember if it cocobolo or dymondwood. Classic American that has been around for a good time and going strong.IMG_0554.jpegIMG_0553.jpegIMG_0552.jpeg

This thread should have had a poll. I’d like to see how everyone voted in graph form. Looks like Spyderco may be the number one so far.
That’s a good idea, but there’s so many quality, affordable, well known and easily obtained knife manufacturers out there that it would be a tall order to list them all for a poll.

Hogue, even though I don't own one.

Doug Ritter, which may be stretching "etc." just a twiddly bit.

Rough Ry(i)der, but just the micarta-slabbed ones. This might be the most I own of a single brand.

Case has done some well-executed traditionals with wood covers, and someday, I mean to have one or three.

Emerson. Not for everybody I know, and another one that's somewhat North of what I feel comfortable spending. If I had the money to play with, I would have a few more of his.

Schatt & Morgan. Sigh.

Spyderco.
Cold Steel.
Buck.

I only have inexpensive customs knives instead of factory knives though.

As far as production knives I’d say Spyderco.
Older benchmades were awesome. There newer stuff does zero for me. Except the 940. Had one for years now and it’s still great. Wish they still had the 710 available. Was a wicked knife.wish I had gotten a Stryker too when available.

Question: Does anybody know how "big" Busse, and Hinderer are?

Benchmade until they decided to chop up guns. I’d go with Protech now if I had to choose for some reason.

Busse Combat, and kin.

If pressed to pick a bigger manufacturer - Benchmade, by far.
Bussekin and CPK are my absolute favorites, I own about 10 or so Bussekin. SR-101 is one of my favorite steels. This thread is more about mid tier, more common knives and manufacturers. Busse and kin are on a whole other level.
