What’s your favourite Handle Material?

Depends. Stag (Buck Custom Shop 110), Arctic spalted birch (Roselli), ivory ebony (Ivan Campos Scandi), FRN (folders), titanium (CRK), Kraton (Cold Steel), Santoprene (Benchmade Puukko 200), stacked leather (Marbles, Ka-Bar). All good.

I like the durability of G10 and Micarta. Wood though often looks great, but from a durability standpoint I’d prefer stabilised wood. Sadly not often available at a reasonable price where I am.

Good Sambar stag followed by nicely jigged bone, followed by nice wood for folders

For hunters, Stag again followed by nice wood like ironwood.

Back in 2007 I started making my own mycarta, so that's what I mostly use now. If I want a particular color or look, I'll make up enough for a handle or two. I call it Lukarta (lol).

Here's a stack of my lukarta.

Here's a knife I posted recently in another thread. Dayglo orange bolsters and natural burlap.

It really depends on the knife but in general terms
Sambar Stag for its natural beauty, dense core, durability and grip, not to be confused with elk or other mushy core stag. If the knife has a stag option I will always go for it over wood, bare metal, stacked leather or fiber resin

Titanium, but I recently discovered aluminum and kirinite, which are really good too. Also like CF and micarta.
