What 3 knives would you get first after losing your whole knife collection?

1. Masakage Yuki Santoku (#2 Shirogami laminated)
2. Small Sebenza Insingo
3. Victorinox Alox Bantam

If they were stolen I would take the insurance money and buy a Loveless New York Special, a Tony Bose Back Pocket and a Joe Calton EDC to use.

FYI: You might not get much money for your knives, as they are subject to your home/condoowners/renters policy deducticle. Most people have a minimum of $500 deductible. (I'm an insurance agent by trade) The only way around that is to schedule your more expensive knives at a stated value, then if they were stolen you wouldn't have to pay your deductible.

I am sure I wouldn't get much money for them. I was just saying what I would buy for less than half the money that I already have in them. I just may buy those collectors items anyway(already have the Calton lol).

Spyderco Endura for EDC, Manix2 XL for a work knife, and a SouthFork for a sleek 5" fixed blade.

If you asked for one knife, you could just buy a Blue Millie and be pretty well covered.

Camillus Camp knife (AKA Boy Scout Knife) Vintage USA made
Vintage 70's era Puma 970 Game Warden
Randall 25-5" Trapper
Thats what i'ed start with.

I would get a Survival bush knife in case Armageddon happens, but Definitely get a personal defense blade also. Third onthe list try to budget a general utility blade for on the job or work around the house. I would personally get anxiety if I didn't have my Armageddon Bug Out gear, but the question is what do you need your steel to do???

Spyderco Rescue3 because I work with horses and livestock,
Spyderco Military or Para Military for the versatility and sheer toughness of these two,
And finally a Grayman Dua for daily carry after work.

1) Victorinox Huntsman
2) Becker BK11 (or 14 - depends on how I was feeling about handle shapes that day) w/ slabs
3) Becker BK9

Beckerhead #42

Hmm. I like these kinds of questions because they make you focus in on what is important, but the thought of my knife arsenal disappearing also makes me shudder. I would go with something like a SOG Twitch or Kershaw Leek for minimalist carry, a Cold Steel XL Voyager for those days when hunting Orcs was on the agenda, and something like a Benchmade 710 to fill in that large middle area.

I'm thinking a Grayman Satu first. I could easily be satisfied with just that for a while, then add a PM2 and Ritter grip. For me, those would be a solid three to base my arsenal off of haha

1 spyderco manix/ endura
2crkt spew
3 a smaller people friendly knife like a victorinox

Those are the knives that I carry most and find most useful

Al Mar - Sere 2K
Busse Basic 9
Allen Blade MEUK (but I probably wouldn't be able to get another one)
^^^
If I couldn't get an MEUK, I'd get another small fixed blade with a similar blade shape. Maybe an Extrema Ratio Shrapnel.

I'd get an ESEE 6, Benchmade m390 Contego, and a Spyderco Native. That's pretty much all you need, but I may get the GEC #22 magnum next for a nkp friendly carry.

Haha Hunting orcs is always on the agenda:

Gerber Gator machete with the saw on the back.
