What $40 bucks at Walmart gets you

Let's see.... some thoughts

1. The only reason I shop at WW is that they have the t-shirts I like in my size (3X) and in lots of colors.

2. Americans have hurt themselves by buying the cheapest junk out there.

3. There is NOTHING made anywhere in the world that we can't make better here in the good old U.S.A., But quality costs more.

4. Microsoft was mentioned earlier: Bill Gates created something that the entire world uses, like it or not. If you don't like it then create a better operating system and put your name on it. Then count your billions:D

5. If you drive a foreign car, I truly hope you lose your American job!

6. For some reason people forgot what the Japanese did to us in 1941. Now they are our best buddies.

7.How long before we are in bed with al-quida(?) and Osama bin Laden? Forgive and forget is our motto.

8. Same with the attrocities commited by the Germans. Look the other way.

9. I try to remain positive, but the way things are going I'm starting to lose faith.

10. Don't beleive the bunk about foreign cars being built here. They are only assembled here. and only 7-8% of the total parts used are manufactured here. Get a hold of your government bureacrats and tell them to balance the trade deficet. We can turn things around if we try.

Looking at the list of the cars assembeled in the US with the most American made parts, I see a Japanese car in second. only behind the F150. In fact, 3 of the top 10 are on this list.

They can't be the same ones that I had from there then. I weigh around 180, and they would flex like crazy with just regular use. The Eddie Bauer ones at Target are the same. It's good to hear that WalMart is selling some better stuff.

And DaleW, I am moving to the Pacific NW. I'd be surprised if the thrift stores around me got anything better than a pair of soiled underwear. I hear the discount clothing stores like Marshall's, TJ Maxx, etc. up there are pretty awesome too.

What part of the Pacific NW?
