What 8-9.5" INFI?

I'd like a larger blade with slightly more weight and chopping power than my BJ. I don't want to go above 9.5" because then we're getting into Kukri territory which I personally prefer over normal 10"+ blades or even an axe for that matter.

I wish I could get a SFNO but otherwise what other INFI might I look for to meet these specs?

Thanks

You could not worry about a half of an inch and get a BWMLE

Or I think they made these in different lengths.

I so hope you're right about that.

There has got to be either the LBNMSHBM or NMFSH or hopefully both available this year. Some things Jerry mentions seem to never happen though, which lends credence to "Let's Drink!" :foot:

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the SH would be part of the LBS...no?

No, not as far as Jerry has revealed, but I do remember someone in another thread proposing a Light Brigade NMFSH. Maybe that was what you read?

LBNMSHBM or NMFSH if they come out and you can wait. NMSFNO if you can't wait.

I implore the OP to wait though. Both of those should be pretty epic releases, even though the LBNMSHBM is supposed to be 11".

emt, you need a Busse chopper, by the way. I'm sure you've heard it several times since you placed your BOSS Jack order, but INFI is awesome for choppers.

Oh I love choppers! But the only one that interests me JUST for chopping is the kukri-style and I'm not sure what a KZ would offer over my CS Kukri??

I'd rather one that is well rounded just like my BJ but ALSO a DECENT chopper....not the best chopper or one devoted to chopping...just DECENT to give me the capability if I could only have one blade for whatever reason.

Thanks

I would second waiting a bit as the Basic 8LE should be out . The basic 6 , 10 and 4 where all 1/4" to 1/2" longer than their actual number , so the Basic 8 should be between 8 1/4" and 8 1/2" as well . Putting it right in youe target length .

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !

Get a SAR 8 mine is about 8 1/2 inches of blade. Its nnot as thick ot heavy as some other knifes but it can still chop.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about the blade length and I'd get a B10LE for choping.

Meaning non-factory direct right?

I only ask because I started a thread specifically on any variants of the SFNO and I'm pretty sure no one was able to even suggest one was in the works.

There is no SFNO in the works that anyone knows about. The NMSFNO is a great blade though.

As far as what is out or coming out in the next two weeks, there is the TG (almost 8"), Basic 8, and NMFSH.

+1  This is quite possibly the best feeling Busse in hand that I have ever handled. Also, the B11, while I know is above to your top end is very light for it's length but has phenomenal chopping power! Don't count either of these until you've felt them I guess is my point.
