What a Scandi Grind SHOULD be like

Sweet. It is a great satisfaction when you can get an edge that sharp. I'm not quite there but I have had many people hand me back my knife because it scared them to use it. Bottom line its only bad technique/carelessness that gets you cut and a knife half as sharp will draw lots of blood but won't be nearly the pleasure to work with. Mac
 
What do you do for burr removal at the end?

In the video, Ray uses his belt as a strop. I use a leather belt on my 1x42 belt sander. You can use a piece of leather glued to a wood block. I just use the belt sander because I have it, and it speeds up that last step.

Hey Danny Boy - Those are some SWEET knives!!! I hope they are yours and not ones just stopping in the shop for leather.
