Thank you! I always buy the additional 18350 short tube ..when available. That patina looks amazing! What did you use to remove clear finish? Wonder how the “shipwreck” treatment would look on an smooth S2🧐

I used a couple of different buffing wheels and compounds to take off the finish that the Cu is covered with. Cu is soft, so I got rid of all the scratches too at the time. I've had the light for a long time. I'm fairly certain that you would need to remove the finish for shipwrecking to work as well. I'm sure some people have done it using other methods if you want to investigate. It seems rare though, so I haven't seen tons of info on it.

I hate to hear that. I'm wanting to get some Manix scales from OG for my 15v LW as well.

Things do seemed to have slowed down there pretty bad. I should probably move on to a company that's sending out products.

I reached out 6 weeks ago and asked about the order. Got a reply that they could send half at the time and remaining set later when finished. Received the AD10 set within a week of that email exchange but haven’t heard a peep about the other scales.. almost 6 months now.

Another data point to add…the machine work (chatter marks by lock release) on the AD10 wasn’t as flawless as the previous scales I’ve received from OG. Installed as I thought the alternative would be a waste of my time! Not saying their quality has dropped, just sharing my experience with their recent service and product recently.
