What about Knives and Flashlights?

Regrind turned out awesome. How do you like the Perun 2? I got a buddy at work one for Christmas...should have bought myself one too while they were on sale. :D I always have a flashlight or 2 on me (sometimes more lol) but no matter what flashlight I carry, there is always a headlamp on my hardhat.

Thanks man. He did a really good job on fixing it. Glad I was able to have it salvaged.

On the Perun 2, so far so good. Today was my first day with it. I love headlamps. Handy as all get out as I’m sure you know. I did get it on sale. It’s a little heavy but nothing I didn’t get used to throughout the day. It’s a bright little guy. It’s not too harsh when up close working on things and it has a proximity sensor. Overall I’m really pleased. I’ve got a 600 or 700 lumen Milwaukee headlamp as well. Also I’ve got a Klein rechargeable/removable headlamp on my hard hart. It’s also real handy, only 150 lumen tho. On the Perun today when the battery died, it just died. One thing the Milwaukee brand one has an advantage on is that the beam flashes when it’s going down. You can drop to a lower light setting and get more life.

Here is my well used Maglite Solitare with my Mnandi. I wish my Solitare produced more light but it works well and hasn’t let me down yet. I like the fact that I twist the top and the light comes on full strength. No twisting the head a few times to get the light level that I want. Simple. image.jpg

That is the one I have. It is advertised as putting out 47 lumens. I would ideally want something closer to 100 lumens but the light has proven to be very reliable, simple to use and very handy. It rides in a pouch along with my pen. The Mnandi rides in its own pocket slip. I should probably add a photo with a knife and flashlight in it.
