What about Knives and Flashlights?

While I have fancier flashlights, Convoy is my favorite brand. They offer a wide selection of different emitters at different color temperatures. Their 12-group selection allows a choice of mode orders that will satisfy most users. While some models use electronic switches, I strongly prefer the non-draining mechanical switches on the 12-group models. They also have surprisingly good customer service for an overseas company. Their main guy is a regular on Budget Light Forum, interacts with the community, and will often customize orders for free.

Just to give you an idea, I recently ordered a C8+ (18650 tube size with large head) with a 660nm or "deep red" emitter for preserving night vision during star-gazing. (Light at this wavelength is near the edge of the visible spectrum and has a rich, almost magical feel that is hard to describe unless you've experienced it.) It normally comes with a smooth reflector but I asked him for an orange-peel reflector instead. He said okay and is installing it for me prior to shipment.

Here is an S21A that runs off a 21700 battery and uses a high-CRI emitter at 4500K. It was "just right" for the conditions of my evening walk with this Oliva a few nights ago. :)
