The OP meanwhile has a Military and the Manix 2.
About the Military: it is also a personal favorite and I do prefer the surprisingly light G10 ones over the much heavier frame lock model.
About the Manix: very nice indeed and I would urge you to hunt for the original big Manix, it's one of the most impressive Spydercos ever, I do prefer it over the new one. I have it in foliage handles.
Other essentials:
- Caly 3
- My favorite ethnical Spyderco is the Chokwe. Such pure design, so remarkably nice in the hand.
- for fixed blades: a personal favorite amongst all my fixed blades is the Moran drop point. Very light and well balanced, a perfect companion.
- among the slip joint Spydies, do check out the Urban Wharncliffe. It's quite pleasant.
- Stretch 2, while not exactly pretty, it is a very well thought out and universal knife. Probably the one Spyderco I would keep if I had to sell the 40 other ones.
