What are the must have Spydercos' for your collection?

It is true that what most like you may not like, you need to find which ones you like; but to give my opinion on the matter...

Must haves:
-Delica
-Paramilitary
-Endura
-Tenacious
-Sage
-Manix


I personally just don't like the Military, the handle is way too big for my average size hands.


As of now I only have the Delica and Para2; sooner then later i will have a Sage1 and then probably an Endura.
 
OK, I think I am developing an addiction here!! I just added a Lum Tanto, placed an order for a M390 Military, and I have a Gayle Bradley in my sights.
 
It's kinda funny I haven't seen a Breeden rescue in the lists.
It's one of my favorite EDC blades. I always carry a Military (sold the black and got an orange) or G-10 Police on me when I go out.
I just ordered a NOS Captain and hope to see it by Friday.
I have all four of the Economy line (tenacious style). If you can carry that, I can't see a reason not to get a Byrd (same steel) Raven and Crow in G-10. Love the blade style on those two.
They are on the next list.
My wish list is now a
TI Military (hopefully can find a fluted)
A PPT
and a Sage 2 that's been flamed.
I have over 60 Spydercos and 14 Byrds. STILL less than half of what I want.
I find myself putting that Breeden Rescue in my pocket in the Mornings. GREAT knife in my opinion.

I want one. I bought the Jens Anso Zulu and love it. At the time I ordered, I also wanted the Breeden Rescue, but thought the two blades would be a little similiar in weight and overall size. Which is probably fairly true. But the Breeden Rescue does look so classy. That's my idea of a "Gentleman's folder" more than some dainty, stag-handled thing. It's just a really dignified, cool looking knife. I'll order one, probably really soon.

Must haves would be a Delica, Endura, Sage 1 and Para 2. And while I don't own one, I think a Salt 1 or Pacific Salt with an SE blade should be "essential" too. And I think everybody who likes Spydercos should have one or two favorite "weird" knives. Mine would be the Zulu. Love that blade.

For must have models, I would recommend looking at "bread and butter" models that have been around since the early days. We're talking Delica, Endura, Ladybug, Dragonfly, Cricket, Police, Military, Civilian. There's plenty good reasons why these remain so popular.

Collectable for others are the harder to find more sought after models. For me this includes items like the Dodo, Persian, Co-Pilot, Rookie, Matriarch, Bob Lum Chinese, Meerkat etc. Still on my wishlist are the Massad Ayoob, Starmate and Kopa.

There are just so many options. Collecting is what you want, and what you want it to be. Have fun :)
