I always enjoy looking at the nature photos you guys post, so here is my contribution. :)

I looked out my window today and saw this family wandering around (there is a forest behind my house). Shot a bunch of photos through the window and these are the clearest.

If I had to guess, I'd say they are some kind of bobcat.

great pics man... what a cool site to see...

they look like lynx, to me... we have a lot of bobcats around here and their tails are a bit longer than most bobcats i've seen...

Young bobcats.

Lynx have thicker fur by far and are more an ashy color. Plus don't lynx have more spots?

Consider yourself very lucky to have not one but two! Excellent photos!! I'm envious.

I don't know much about PacNW wildlife, but they look like what I would call bobcat down here in TX.

After looking at all of the images on wiki, it looks alot like a bobcat to my untrained eyes. However, all the above cats are of the same 'lynx' genus.

Wow thats really cool. My mother in law had a baby one that was abandoned by its mother. I got to play with it. It was a strong kitty! It still hangs out on her property.

She also had some baby black bears at one time. She gave em up to wildlife rescue.

Bobcat has banded tail , lynx has black tip. Lynx has longer ear tufts. So these are bobcats. Nice family there !!

Incredible pics!
I'd so love to see a wild lynx/bobcat. They live in my favorite hiking area in south Germany, but they're just too shy.

Definitly Bobcat.. Lynx can be distinguished by Unusually pronounced ear tufts..Mature lynx are usually more grey in color as well...Bobcats are very cool..great sighting and some high quality naturs show pics there...Cheers!

Awesome pictures! :thumbup:I know there are some around here but not seen in that manor.

Great stuff, I wish I had a backyard like that. Consider yourself fortunate.

Nice pics! I would have to say those are Bobcat. I use to trap them with an old fur trader as a kid. Yours look much more beautiful than I remembered.

Those are great pics, and some Beautiful animals you got there. I am not a cat person, bit I wild cats I do like. I also think they are Bobs and not Lynx

Great pics, and great looking family!!!

A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of watching a bobcat succesfully hunt a rabbit in the wild. It was amazing, it almost looked effortless. It happened so fast after I spotted him though we didn't have a chance for a camera.:(

These look like juveniles. While I agree they're bobcats, I honestly have no idea about what I'm about to ask-- how soon do the Lynx's ear tufts show up? Do they show up at a young age, or grow in over time?
