What are you carrying today?

The 175 is a real great "key ring" knife (minus the pocket clip).

Gosh, am I behind in my reading ;) I'm sure the cross country trip/relocation to Southern Cal had nothing to do with it - LOL

After hearing about the attributes of the 112FG, I ordered one... I have to say, that for an EDC I really like it. I typically carry a Leatherman Wave and the 112FG on my belt.

I always take my 110 with me on fishing and hunting trips and trips into the woods.

Welcome Back Woody!!!!,

So Cal??? How do you like it so far?

Hey Woody...
That 112 is cool isn't it?
I was a 110 snob for decades until Five-0 Mike and Doc D sold me on trying out a 112.
Love it.

Today I am carrying a 119BRSLE and Cold Steel 26S.

Today, (well, most days) I am carrying my Bass Pro 110. I was so impressed with the first one, that I bought a second one for a 'user'. I really like that CPM 154 steel. Oh, and for what it's worth, this latest BP110 is the sharpest 'out of the box' blade I have ever seen.

Not dressed yet; so not yet carrying anything.

But, in front of me on my desk is a Buck Tempest in 154CM.
Definitely one of my favorite AO's.

In my pocket at work today is my run-of-the-mill Buck 110, circa 1974. I haven't been carrying it as much because it weighs down the pocket of my athletic shorts. ;) But I changed my wardrobe today, and it's back, along with the Hartsook on my keychain!

Hey Goose -- I love my 112 FG, it is a great knife... I'll never part with my 110X (vintage) FG and other 110's, but for a general user it's awesome.

Woody

PS nice duo you have there ;)

Thanks buddy! You bet, all of my knives made the journey, and all of my camping equipment, the wife could not talk me out of leaving any of that behing - LOL. Especially the 110 FG.

Thanks again for your email as well, I was in San Clemente yesterday when the earthquake hit, it lasted a long time. Interesting experience for an easterner ;)

Thanks Hawkeye -- you looking to reprofile the knife handle to taper both ends?

I am just doing a little sanding. To get out some deep scratches. The brass
was scratched up purty bad.Just playing really.Got some 400grit and 600grit
and getting out those bad scratches.I still got to go buy some 1000 and1200
Then Larry and Darrell can tell me where and what kind of wheel I need to buy
to put rouge on to buff it with.

A few days ago Tin Sue sent me a 532,I havent took it off yet! A 99.99% perfect EDC...I carry it in a open top sheath

Hawkeye, send me that project knife and I'll put the final polish on it and send it back. Or, stop by, next time you're in the neighborhood--you know where I live. Jack

I don't have a wheel, well actually I do but have never unpacked it since I bought it over year ago. I just finish my sanding with 1,000 grit and then polish it with brasso. May take longer but I kinda like doing it by hand.....just me....

Jeff, I my have messed up a collectible 110FG that had Albertsons lightly engraved on one bolster. Wanted to give the FG to a son in law so I sanded and polished out the logo. Under perfect light conditions, I can still see a slight trace of the logo, but got tired of playing with it so didn't take it all the way. Doubt that anyone but one of us 110 nutts will ever know.

oh yeah, for that brasso polishing, and to keep the bolsters flat, I wrap one of those yellow wiping cloths that Billy Mays sold me at a really great twofer bargain, around the end of that 1x2 with the brasso on it.

Hey Gents...going back to original thread topic I have some great news...I had gone back to Chicago for a wedding and took my Buck Mayo 172 that all my kids have signed with me. When we went into the city on our last day there I decided not to carry the knife so left it in the suitcase in the hotel room. The following day we flew home and I did not think about the knife until I got home. Lost. Called the hotel to no avail. Moped around a bit, cursed luggage inspectors and hotel cleaning staffs, and then, yesterday, my son found the knife inside one of his dress shoes from the trip (about 2 weeks later)

One happy camper and am once again carrying my very special Mayo 172 again...

I'm carrying my black 560 today, I'm going carrying it for a few days and give it a try... :D ... So far It's Great... ... It's almost as lite as my Bucklite 422 that I take everywhere...
