I'll be hittin the good old Green Label Jack! But, not till after 12a I'm working a short OT gig tonight!!

Stella and possibly some Polish Vodka.

Not sure I can post here as I only ordered my first Busse (BWM) last week?

I have never held a Busse knife in the flesh, so to speak. I'm semi-giddy thinking about it though.

Choices, choices...trying to remember what's in the liqour cabinet. JW Gold,
Talisker, Glenmorangie, Bakers, Elijah Craig....

maybe some single malt tonight....

to celebrate my Grail score.

I'm not usually a drinker of blended scotches, as I tend to like heavy, peaty, smokey single malts. But I thought I'd try something a little different when I was at the store last, and bought a bottle of Johnnie Walker Green Label. I gotta confess, this stuff is good!

Good and good value.

Welcome! You can absolutely post here... especially if you're drinking with us! :D:thumbup:

I envy your choices for the night. I would love some JW Gold tonight. Definitely one of my favorites. I have found it difficult to find good scotch in my current area. It is much different than I am used to in Atlanta. Down here (Louisiana) since everywhere can sell liquor (CVS, gas station, wal-mart...) there are not readily available dedicated liquor stores(at least not in my immediate area) and that makes it difficult to find a good selection.

Yeah, everybody's welcome, Busse-owner or not. :D

Last couple hours have been bud light, but I just spotted my gentleman jack on the counter and am working up the courage to get out of my chair and pour a glass.

Gentelman Jack,

Very very nice. I had some Ommegang Witte, a nice US belgian style pounding wheat beer. Right now some Chateau St Michelle Pinot Gris (very nice).

Wish I had some G-Jack, I drank it too fast

Musashi:
Busse = Heavy Metal...literally and figuratively.

Resin Guy: Whats your standard Single Malt fix....I recently got a Laphraig 1/4 barrel that's not at all bad.
My neighbor watched my dog for a few days and I gave him a bottle of Jura Superstition....he let me try it...I should have given him the Laphraigh...I'm
still thinking I messed up .

Have you gotten it yet? If so, where the &#$* are my pictures?????

Patience, patience. :D:D

It's a thing of beauty. And a user. :thumbup::thumbup:

Haven't really got a regular single malt. Just went down to the cabinet and found some Macallan Cask Strength. I tend to like bigger flavors, so gravitated to the Islay malts, and the some of the deeper Highlands. I used to drink more scotch, then in the last few years started on Bourbon more, and more recently vodka, then gin, for Martinis.

Too bad you're leaving Atlanta, otherwise we could hoist a few at Blade.

Maker's Mark Manhattan :D

Congratulations  You've been looking for that for a little while.

Great!! Cant wait to throw it at that big beech :D  :p

I might just be back for Blade... we will see. I have lots of friends in the area, so I can make an excuse to visit for a long weekend and just happen to have "something to do" on one or two of those days. My biggest regret was that I was working the weekend of BLADE last year, and unable to attend any of the social stuff, and now that I'm moving I'd hate to miss out again.

, although I like those as a before dinner drink. Evenings call for whiskey, straight.

Congratulations  You've been looking for that for a little while.

Thanks!

You're on!

........

Im with you Resinguy. Whiskey straight. Especially in this cold weather. As far as the before dinner drinks, a Makers Mark old fashioned, no sugar, hits the spot.

Never made an Old Fashioned, have to add it to the list.

I want to make a proper Sazerac, have to get the Peychauds Bitters and the absinthe.
